I can’t stand Branston pickle , but after a cheeky smoke I do quite often find myself destroying a whole multipack of the kids branston pickle mini cheddars and then getting in the **** the next morning when she goes to make their lunches and there all gone<laugh>

I am still waiting for the very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov to cook my breakfast. I hope she hurries up as I am hungry.

I suppose you'd prefer a thread about deep fried Mars bars or Irn Bru, AS?...

Yep, watch you don't overcook the soles.

in all seriousness, it's actually very easy to do, just make sure your pre-cooked mushrooms aren't too wet when they go around the beef fillet and cook it quick and hot so that the beef doesn't overcook. Don't spend loads on pate either, cos you can season up cheap pate and it'll taste great.

Prosciutto wrapped around the beef and mushrooms works too, and helps stop the pastry going soggy on the bottom - some folk prefer it to the traditional way using pate

I think we should have a permanent "what am I going to cook tonight?" thread. It's probably the most stressful thing in my life.

I've watched a few recipes now on youtube. Come to the conclusion that Jamie Oliver is a twat and Gordon Ramsey may know what he's talking about!
