Only time I have beans it is Asda own brand - I heat them up with a splash of bbq sauce and have them on toast. Does the job in the morning when I fancy a change from cereal.
Just had a full English. Everyday for the last two weeks and the rest of this one in fact, comes with the accomodation so would be rude not to and means I don't eat again until the evening (tea, dinner, what ****ing ever). Staying on the Uni campus until they all come back week after next and the breakfast you get is superb; proper hot buffet and then all the cereals and such like. It's been three bacon rashers, two small sausages, two poached eggs and, this is the point here, beans every day. Occasionally I put a hash brown on there but not every day. I don't see how the beans make it soggy? Tinned tomatoes, yes, but beans don't. They don't have that liquid consistency, it's more a goop. Beans are a must on a full English.
If beans have been cooked correctly I agree. They should be done on the stove and heated gently. If they’ve been boiled on the stove they’re runny and if they’ve been done in the microwave they’re runny. Also cheap brands tend to be runny.
When I was a poor student at Cambridge, I used to look forward to a large tin of Heinz baked beans poured over the top of 8 cod fish fingers, on a Friday. It was my reward for getting through a busy week. Cheap, tasty, and nutritious. Back in those days, I was far too poor to kick back on the sofa with a GTI, in my underpants, and scratch my balls. So, beans on fish fingers was a special treat.
I've heard good things about the drama school in Cambridge. My mates daughter studied dance there. You may have known her.
