I feel I may be in the minority here but I just don't think Mig is anywhere near ready for the first team. He is just too inexperienced and makes too many costly errors for my liking. Westwood is a championship player at best and only signed because he was free, not much better than Carson in my opinion. Gordon I do like as a keeper and am quite confident when he plays though he could do with commanding his box better. I honestly feel we massively overlooked one of the best keepers in the game. One who i'm sure would have loved to play for us again. I am ofcourse talking about Given! Just wondering other peoples opinions on this one

I think Mig is well up for the job...Yes he has made a couple of errors of late, but which keeper doesn't...Westwood is also a highly rated deputy, and it shouldn't be too long before Gordon is once again challenging for a place...

If anyone remembers me from bbc606 they'l know i was never one of the doom and gloom brigade. I am very happy with our signings but i'm the same as everyone else and feel we still need strengthening in places and since its been so bloody long since i'v been on not606 I just thought i'd voice probably my only major gripe left now. I'm not too bothered about lb as Bardsley is mint, i'm not too bothered about lw as I feel Sess would do a cracking job there, i'm not too bothered about our strikeforce as it's more confidence than ability. All in all i'm happy, with a couple of gripes(which I can live with) and I shall now lay off with the negativity (until our yearly xmas winless streak) x
I think Mig is more than adequate, there are much worse keeper in the league. Flash is no. 1 and he'll be back soon anyway.
Don't think Given would have come here in a million years not even as a last resort. Amazing keeper but his links to nufc are too strong.

Gordon yes, Mig possibly in a year or 2, Westwood can't see it sorry. I do quite like watching Barca but I don't really fancy supporting em, be a nightmare getting to the ground on matchday from Durham.
The Mig better be up to the job cos he's in my fantasy team and I'll be having stern words with him is he's a failure!! I rate him as our best keeper, others have they're favourites, either way I don't see a goalkeeping problem being SAFC's number one problem. That lies further up the field!
Including Carson and the young England lad (apologies I forget his name - U17?) We have 5 DECENT goalies. All need to work on their game. Commanding the box is my concern for Flash and Ming. Westwood I dont know much about, but a good goalie is a good goalie in any division; and he comes with excellent references. The last 2 are still learning the trade. Gordon / Ming have understandable worries because last season they wont have played with the same back 4 in front of them 2 games running! NOT TRYING TO BE NEGATIVE! I think the goalies need hours on the training ground. Attack v defence. x
Pickfords a good kid and definitely one to look out for. Bonny your right about the time on the pitch though, Gordon was at his best when given a good(injury free) run in the team. here's hopin he comes back strong
