Hometown Club? Born and schooled in Hull? Grew up within spitting distance of the stadium? Lives a 10-minute drive from the KCom? Lives in Leeds? Me, myself are African? Confused?
With respect, there's been several times now you've assured people that the club has been close to being sold, I don't think people will believe it until it happens.
How many more times are we going to hear the club is about to be sold? ...The Allams may want out, but no one is going to pay their over inflated asking price. What assets does the club have? Zero, other than the name of the club and the training ground in Cott. I don't even know if they own that!! In answer to the first question...Too ******* many..I for one will not go back until there's a new regime. So I supposed they had better piss off sooner than later.
He’s spouts so much ****. He now can’t spot the difference between fact and fiction. Still a massive ****.
Merely suggesting that telling people that they're misguided in thinking the club is unlikely to be sold - or words to that affect - are a bit pointless at this stage.
At least the comments building up on the original article is putting the record straight ... over 50 comments now. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...tached-fans-championship-football-league-blog
After the player cull any investor worth his/her salt wouldn't offer more than what £5 to £10 million. There's no assets. Somehow I would guess that the Alarms would have to come right down to meet the offer or more likely than that is that we're stuck with them for a dam sight longer!!!
The price of the club isn't just the assets, it's the inherent potential of the club. You're buying their place in the football pyramid, you're buying the fact the club is virtually debt free - as opposed to other Championship clubs - you're buying SUPPOSEDLY a decent, competitive squad (debatable with us by now). All of these factors contribute to the price, not just whether or not you own a football stadium. How much would Man City go for? I would guess more than the value of their squad, and they don't own their ground. Yes they own other assets, etc. but there is a huge premium on the - essentially - goodwill inherent in a football club. Extreme comparison to use them, but the basic principles remain the same.
What a load of bollocks, a lot of outright lies not challenged or even slightly refuted. Poor journalism.
I believe many of my fellow fans will be interested in the fact that there's a prospective buyer currently being shown around the KCOM. I've got absolutely no interest in your suggestions, thanks.
I'm sorry for contributing an opinion - that the constant raising of hopes in the face of skepticism is getting tiresome - that is shared by others. If you could direct me to the discussion board for discussing football, I'll express my opinion there.
