I spent a few years living in Spain and still have a property there, so going on holiday is normally very, very straightforward. Flight from Southampton, on time. A call to the airport parking company and my car is brought round within 10 minutes, but this time with a tail of woe. Needed jump leads to start and when we arrived home, turned off the engine, it wouldn’t restart. Went indoors, tried the hot water, to find that the boiler wouldn’t ignite - no shower . Turned the air con on and there seems to be a blockage as water that should drain away outside was pouring through the front of the unit into the lounge. On top of this the bank failed to send my debit cards for the local bank account to my English address, so I don’t have a current debit card. So far today I have managed to get a new battery (€80 including fitting which I thought was reasonable). I am waiting in for a gas engineer who should be here sometime today. I hope to get to the bank tomorrow to collect the debit cards and will hopefully have the air con sorted on Wednesday. Then I can relax. Oh and having pruned the rose tree back I have scratched my lower legs to **** as a result of being clumsy. I need a drink.
No. It’s fecking hot which is why I need the air conditioning working to cool me down and the shower working to stop me smelling like a tramp. Plus I hate waiting in for people who can’t specify an arrival time.
That’s all going to make that beer even more special and remember, it’s great that you’re there with your wife - have a more relaxing time from now on in.
You are absolutely right (as always? ). We’re not letting it ruin things, it just gets frustrating when we can’t go out and stroll down the beach front, and people watch. If my wife could see the people I am watching, from behind her wheelchair, she would put me on the naughty step. My wife is pretty much housebound and can’t go out alone so this is all about giving her something to remember, until the next time. At least we have plenty of local bars within 10 minutes walking, or 1 minutes drive, but we can’t go to them if we are waiting in for a tradesman. Fecking gas man hasn’t arrived, so will have to chase him or find someone else. Will have to smell like a tramp for another day. Thinks. Will go in the communal pool tomorrow. Problem solved.
Interesting night coming up . From 10 . Toby is on water only , at least one , up to three teeth out tomorrow . To make matters worse , we are trying to get him and purdey used to eating in the front room due to the extension work going on at the moment . He will be wanting food , if I am not quick enough , I get the claw . He is not small either , but he is powerfull . Wish me luck .

He's being kept in overnight , having had 11 teeth out ST Helen , We have been told not to worry , he could live perfectly happy with no teeth . Seems strange , is it true ?
I’ve only got a short video on FB. Don’t know how to do that on here! Edit: They’re playing “One Step Beyond”!
