Morning Mike, Hunt was not good for us, and if he was on 25k a week, what were Leeds thinking. Didn't we sign him from Pompey when they went down?

Good morning Matt & everyone from blustery, rainy Northumbria

We are a top draw for SKY, a TV company making considerable money out of Leeds unfortunately, it doesn't work both ways. For that reason telly fans will often hear the Leeds support singing "Sky TV is fooking sh*t" as our attending fans are fed up with all the fixtures changes/times which causes much inconvenience to their lives due to work/family commitments & waking up at some ungodly hour or arriving home in the early hours of the morning following their beloved Leeds.

The majority of football fans are guilty of criticising players when they feel players are under-performing for their respective clubs, however personal abuse aimed directly to a player & his family is totally unreasonable behavior & uncalled for imo!
I personally don't post on Twitter or Facebook anymore for those reasons.

Jack Clarke looks a fine prospect & I'm hoping he gets his opportunity to show his skills at sometime this season. Bielsa will know when he is ready for championship football

This is true and Radz said yesterday that an extra 500,000 viewers get to see Leeds Utd everytime we’re on TV. I suppose thats the official data but guessing the real number is double that due to streams etc

Yeh, it’s easy for a fan to say, a player should tell the physio, that it’s self before side etc... however, I wouldn’t assume that it’s premeditated for personal gain. Players want to play, they often carry niggles, they think they’ll be ok. You can’t criticise players for being a sicknote and then criticise players who play through injury... often the clubs know the players have a knock and encourage them to play anyway.

What I do know, is that players want to play, they hate being crocked. Criticism of Roberts is appalling. He got injured in literally his first training session. The lad needs encouragement not criticism...

I thought the criticism of grot was well out of order... 19 years old in a foreign country getting booed or sarky cheers. It’s not a strategy likely to improve his performance. And yes I get the ‘toughen up, show you can handle it, use it as a motivator stuff’. But it’s the management teams job to handle the personalities.. some need a hug, some need a kick.

I get as frustrated as the next fan with certain players and when the team underperforms, but, really, this ‘ i bought my ticket so I can say what I like’ attitude that some have is not one that sits too easily with me. If you’re not willing to support the team, stay at home and jeer at the tv screen where it doesn’t effect anyone.

Some seem to see football as an opportunity to vent their spleens because of their own miserable lives.

Milky spot on mate and Bielsa is now taking stick from some idiots on social media because he didnt buy a new CB, he picked Cooper in front of Pontus, or they dont like his team selection or didnt bring Bamford on soon enough. We are top of the league and I for one will not kick off about his team or tactics because he is god as far as Im concerned. Until Bielsa screws up every Leeds fan should STFU

    Morning all,

This makes me laugh, they always turn down the stadium microphones and put some generic croud noise as a filler.

Every Championship club gets the same money from Sky, those chosen for tv coverage get a bit more by way of compensation for hosting or appearing in a game. The EFL took the easy option by selling all rights to Sky instead of setting up their own network.
What surprised me was that BT Sport never made a better offer to get the EFL games, not many are bothered about French,Italian or German football for which i'm sure they pay a fair bit for.

Jose Mourinho handed one-year suspended prison sentence for tax fraud with Manchester United boss set to pay huge £1.8m fine after deal with Spanish prosecutors
    • Jose Mourinho has reportedly accepted a one-year prison sentence in Spain
    • Manchester United boss entered a plea bargain and will pay a £1.78million fine
    • First-time offenders in Spain do not normally serve terms of two years or less
    • Prosecutors alleged he owed Spanish state almost £2.9m in undeclared revenue

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly accepted a one-year prison sentence as part of a plea bargain deal with prosecutors accusing him of a £2.9million (€3.3m) tax fraud.

The Old Trafford manager has accepted a six-month jail sentence for each of the two financial crimes he was accused of after accepting wrongdoing as part of the agreement with prosecutors, respected Spanish newspaper El Mundo said on Tuesday.

The investigating court in Madrid which has led the criminal probe into Mourinho — Pozuelo de Alarcon Court Number four — is expected to be informed about the deal in the coming days.

Regarding Televised matches. It's great for supporters like myself who live outside of the UK. But I go regardless if the game is on TV or not. FFS I even travelled over for the Paints pot cup when it was televised. I wish the club would do a deal so that we could buy a TV season ticket for home and away games. At least the club would get some income in.<ok>
