My beard is awful, even worse since I got a couple of spots of alopecia in it, so no point doing anything with it but keep it short. My hair gets the treatment every 2-3 weeks though, usually a 0.5 high fade with the top textured forward and longer at the front. Takes the barber about 45 mins. I'd have a low fade but I've got too many grey hairs in the sides of my head.
I keep my hair very close-cropped. I'm thinking of having Poch's portrait etched on one side and the Hurrra's on the other. Stylist reckons it will take a couple of hours. What do you reckon, Tel?
I use a Percy Nobleman beard balm from Amazon on my beard - isn't greasy and doesn't make me smell like a carpenter because seemingly all other beard products smell of sandlewood. The only other thing that I swear by are Kent combs - I used cheap plastic combs all my life but bought one of them from Timpsons and they are so much better.
I have one of those expensive wooden combs. It took me ages to invest in it, but it's a purchase for life, and well worth it .
I haven't used a hair brush in 20 years, but I do have a full head of hair. Just run the auld fingers through it. I'd rather not deal with hair at all, but I look like a death camp inmate if I shave it
