If we are still in or around the top 6 this time next month, then that would definitely be a step forward. Sept is a huge month for a new team still gelling. I think it's been a good start with only one defeat against a very good side, and we were pretty unlucky in that game as well, so the signs are good.
Too early to tell. Ask people again at the end of October. Don't get me wrong, 3 wins on the spin is nice, especially with 2 of those being away from home, but all of the defeats and capitulations from Xmas to the end of last season are still quite fresh in the memory after just 6 games gone of this season.
It wasn’t too early to say backwards on the 19th August when we just lost a couple of games though was it?
I don't know why anyone would say even in August that we were going backwards if I'm honest.......backwards from what? was my question. We now have a mega stadium, great owner (willing to give the funds), an up and coming bright young manager and we are also doing ok in one of the best leagues in the world... I was being accused of being "font of all knowledge" after challenging the "Backwards" comment after our one defeat.............I Think it's just a tad of common sense is required...............like we all envisage a difficult September of fixtures!!
Eyes say the passing patterns and intent are different. More composed in one half faster and crossing more in the last third … Early days. If you want average % x games yes. But the figure is totally skewed by playing Middlesbrough and Bolton. Subtract those two games and there is little change.
