    It could be worse.

Agreed, then when Ben Arfa comes back I'd take Best back out. As I said before, I like Best - good attitude, work rate etc. but lacks the quality the majority of them time IMO. I know he has good record in Prem for us, but can't see it staying like that. Could be wrong, but thats what I think

Wouldn't automatically do that ..HBA has no god given right to walk into the team if we're playing well (fingers crossed) like everyone else he needs to earn his place, something Best has actually done in the last few games and I hope Pards holds faith in him until he has a dip in performance ..

Indeed if we want to avoid turning Ben Arfa into a glorified cameo we'd be better off bringing him back as gradually as possible.
I do agree with Ba/Ben Arfa as our top option though it depends how well Best is playing - no need to drop him if he suddenly hits a rich vein of form. (AKA Berbatov syndrome)

True. But, when fit Ben Arfa is twice the player of any other attacking player we have so I would put him back in

The opinion that Ba is at all good is, on this season's showing, an act of faith: beleif in the absence of evidence.

He did well for about half a season. So has Best. Maybe they're both good, maybe neither is. On actual performances so far this season, I would make the order:

    Best
    Shola
    Sammi
    Lover
    Ba

I'd personally put Sammy above Shola for this season lol

I think Ba is better than Best - not shown it yet I know, but Ba has done it in the German league and is well thought of across Europe. Graham Carr rates him highly also, which clearly means he is good ;)

IMO Best hasn't played enough games in the PL to judge him yet. Come back in 7/8 games time and I'll give you an answer.

    EDIT: 1000th post!!!!!! <diva> <party>

Shame it was such a **** one

Best and Ba could both reach 12-15 if given enough games. Shola and Lover got 6 each after a lot of games each. Sammy is an unknown quantity at the moment, looked bright in the games he's played but don't know if he is ready for the prem.

I put Shola ahead of Sammebi on the basis that Shola can do the sort of job he did against Arsenal: use his size against 2 center backs all alone up front. It isn't eye catching but it is very useful. Sammeobi is far more exciting than Shola, but at the moment Shola shades it for me

Oh, and Shola got 6 on half a season's starts, so about 12 for a full season. Just about as good as we are expeting from anyone
