Lived the top end of Beachwood, next door to the tesco’s store branch manager, his wife also worked for tesco’s, it was handy for playing tennis and going for a swim, and walks up the Gnoll, fond memories of those days, drove past there last year, and it was full of traffic and speed bumps, just didn’t have the same look, shame........ By the way John grew up in Leonard street, he lived next door to the old post office, on the corner. Hot one today out here, sitting in a beach bar in Kalives at the minute.

There was something quite amazing about walking over that bridge and then into the puddly fairground. Was thinking the other day, too, about that china auction stall. Even as a small kid I could watch that selling process go on all day.
I agree ss a little kid I would watch for ages the China stall as be banged the plates down on their edge and held up the cups to the light bulb and then ten pound notes being passed up the crowd. Probably more money was spent in that stall than the Swans spend in a transfer window
