For those who have yet to see them.

Bielik had his best game in our shirt yesterday day. Technically he is a very good player for his age. You can see why Arsenal spotted him. Very composed on the ball, always has plenty of time and takes a touch, and is a great passer out from the back. He is tall but physically not bulky. He is easily good enough to play in midfield if we revert to a flat back 4.

Looks a cracking player at this level TBF. Well done to Steve Gallen for spotting him.

Josh Cullen also made a good debut yesterday. I saw shades of Scott Parker in there ...not just for his height and relative lack of size ...but in the way he covered the pitch for 90 min and spread the play out.

Let’s hope we get some much needed injury luck with these two, as they both look to be good players <applause>

It will be interesting to see our new players tested against some of the better teams in League One.

Charlton can get by comfortably in mid-table by beating the likes of Southend United. We might even hang around the chasing pack for 6th place like last season. But we will progress no further if we cannot deny 3 points to teams like Sunderland, Barnsley, Peterborough and Portsmouth.
And there seems little point in scraping 6th place if we are going to be so much weaker than the other play-off teams anyway.

We need a new owner before January.
If Lee Bowyer can keep us around 9th or 10th place until the new year, a new owner could show their intent by buying up a couple of really decent players in the January window (for real money) to fire us into the play-offs with a real chance of getting to Wembley and winning.

That is something Duchatelet will never do.

I was told that the loudest chant yesterday was "Chrissy Powell's red n white army".

Followed by my squealing when my mate told me the spanners had lost.<cheers>

It wasn’t. Powell wasn’t memotioned even once by our travelling fans - rightly so.
