FC’s legs had gone. Around the 65th minute he was stretching during every break in play and struggling to keep going. Last season he was always subbed off after an hour so at least we get 70mins out of him this season.
A pro footballer who trains everyday and has fantastic facilities etc. In this case has spent most of his career sat on a bench and earnt thousands in the process and will continue to do so. Who didn’t play midweek can’t last 90 mins. Am I wrong in thinking that’s not acceptable and actually feel cheated? I can’t say to my boss on a Wednesday afternoon I’m knackered can i leave early
Campbell didn’t look ****ed to me. If anything he looked fitter, and more enthusiastic, than most of them. Maybe instead of taking him off at 70 mins because you’ve decided before the game that’s what you’re going to do, you could help him by leaving him up front for their corners, instead of relying on him to get his head on every single one of their corners as a defender, and then try and get back up front again? Anyway...I don’t think he was ****ed Evandro...fair enough. I didn’t notice he’d picked up a knock
He's a 30 year old footballer who's had two anterior cruciate ligament ruptures plus 4/5 serious hamstring injuries since the14/15 season - i reckon that's why he doesn't get 90 minutes, feel free to feel cheated though.
Hull City the team that keeps giving....Penalties and conceding late goals. Over the past couple of seasons we must be way out at the top of the league in both. Something needs to change PDQ. TBH..I can't believe there are three worst teams in the league...
Your right I didn’t consider the fact he was 30!,carry on paying him thousands for something he can’t do. I’ll carry on working 40+ hours to fund it. I’ll organise a collection aswell to prove I don’t feel cheated
I was pissed off he came off, he’d obviously been one of our best players, but he was blowing like **** when he walked off, I was sat behind the dugout.
Fair enough I still think he probably would have lasted to the end ok though, and he certainly would if he hadn’t been expected to do everything at both ends of the pitch!
As it was at the far end I couldn't see who it was but we missed some, looked to me anyway, easy chances to smash it in the net. In those goal mouth scrambles at the end. How did we miss?
It was a very disappointing result but City showed definite signs of improvement and their overall performance suggests that they are capable of picking up points against some of the less challenging opposition. Derby have a very strong squad but looked distinctly ordinary for most of the game - annoyingly they were quick to resort to "professional" fouls which, for the most part, went unpunished by the weak (Frank Lampard star struck?) officials. City really must work on their finishing and overcome a definite reluctance to shoot when in good positions - other than that it was good to see Marshall actually get down to a low shot and City's goal was top drawer, a fabulous pass from Evandro and a smart finish.
I sort of agree, but Campbell doesn't half put in a ****ing shift every single game. Most players get a bit of a break throughout the game, Campbell is like a wasp buzzing around the pitch with full intensity the entire time he's on it, kind of understandable he can't quite keep that up for 90 minutes.
You've conveniently forgotten to mention his appalling injury record - if Adkins and his team don't manage his training & playing time correctly he could end up being out for weeks, as our best striker his fitness is key to our survival.
I didn’t conveniently forget to mention anything, if he can’t get through 90 mins in a week because if his previous injuries 3-4-5 years ago, should he still be playing at this level, should he still be taking a wage of someone who can?
