I went hard on cedric after last week but he was excellent today.

Lemina and PEH tremendous in the middle of the park. Excellent performance from the keeper too.

Wonderful atmosphere as always at SP

 

Not saying that he should be replaced, but he did miss two crosses, which really surprised me as he is usually so good at dealing with them.
We deserved the win today but we used up quite a slice of luck at times, luck that was overdue I hasten to add.

 

On first half performance, and the goal, I would give it to Pierre.

We had a couple spells where we looked threatening and created some shots. Wouldn’t say we were dominant. I doubt we ever will be.

I mean, what’s the standard? We overall were not that good, and neither was CP. Could say the same against Leicester. All four sides in those games would have been beaten easily by a top 6 side.

But we’re no longer competing for Europe, just trying to stay afloat. We look rather blah, yes. But no worse than any other lower half club. There are many junky teams in the PL and I am happy to be yet another anonymously junky side over being an exceptionally **** side.

Blah is better than ****. And last season we were ****. Blah keeps us up. That’s all I want this year. By that yardstick we’re doing fine. By the yardstick of “Is this good football?” No, we fail that horrendously.

 

Compared to Palace we were great
And we scored 2 (TWO) not one but two goals. When did we last do that?

I completely agree, as sad as it is we have settle for mediocrity "meh" thats just slightly better than 3 other teams so we stay up and then see what the future holds.
