First half was abysmal. Second half was better but we seem afraid to shoot. It’s a shame Campbell can only play 60-70 minutes a game because we look a totally different (and weaker) side with the other two up front. Keane has a bit of a bad attitude. As soon as he (or somebody near him) loses the ball, he just stands there shrugging his shoulders. Noticed it twice in the second half and Adkins screamed at him to go and chase it on the second.
keane is just absolutely dogshit he's one of the luckiest people in the world, he's actually a proffesional footballer
Saw that. Doctors call it Caleb Folan Syndrome. Symptoms include holding out arms signalling blame of team mates, poor ball control and if left untreated can even result in an inability to keep footing in the opponent's half.
It's very sad to get late conceding lose, but is it really shameful to lose that way? I have no answer. Need to work and train harder to get lucky!
Just got back from game, good job I've not got a cat. Gutted. Only one team looked like getting a 2nd goal in 2nd half - us, subs changed the game, too many, too soon at same time. Taking off Evandro and Kane together, our most creative threat, we lost our rhythm, didn't have time to settle, initiative lost, and boom, sucker punch. I get that Campbell was out of it, but Keane doesn't resemble a footballer to me, doesn't challenge in the air, doesn't challenge on the floor, kicks & flicks are ok when 4 up, but not when chasing the game.
To be fair we could have been 3 or 4 down at HT. First penalty appeal that was waved away was also a penalty after replays showed the contact
If we play like we did in the 2nd half in other games we will get some more points, but why oh why when presented with a chance for a sharp shot they either decide go on a little mazy dribble into the next defender or pass it to a man in a worse position. We were unlucky but we have to make our luck by putting away the chances we get. Kane's goal was very well taken.
You know that ad on the TV, 'feel like getting your money's worth'.... how about ... a picture of the boy on the phone, Adkins answers in the dug out and turns to Keane and tells him to get stripped any ready!!!
Much better than Tuesday night! Hope Elphick can strengthen the back and bring a halt to the comedy of errors that lead to derbys second goal.
I really don’t get the Keane hate. He has had bad games for City. Today wasn’t one of them. He was involved centrally in all our chances in the last 15 minutes. But hey. People need a witch to burn.
I'm not 100 percent sure that is correct because Campbell looked seriously annoyed to have been subbed! Watched him take his shin pads off, then threw them at the bench and stormed off down the tunnel!
Would still love to know why a 30 year old who has spent half his career sat on his arse on the bench isn't capable of running for 90 minutes , at least once
I accepted pre season we would lose a lot more than we win , and all you can ask for us 100% effort and to make sure the opposition have to earn the points. That's what we didn't do versus Blackburn or by sounds of it against Stoke . So why I'm never happy to lose , it's s little bit easier to take tonight knowing the players gave it their all , especially in the 2nd half . When they surrender an easy defeat like against Blackburn , frustration can be levelled at the manager and players . When after a decent effort like today, all anger can correctly be directed towards The Allams.
