i would give you a link to the dirty manc board to educate them on that fact, but i don't go on there
Sorry saint I enjoyed that win as they are the games you have to be able to grind out to be winners No issues with that performance Even conceding was good for us in the long run imho
The worry is that Leicester are the best side we have played to date and we looked poor at times. Would we have got away with playing like that against Spurs, Chelsea or City? I doubt it very much.
We won 12 points in the board. Klopp needs to crack the early kick offs as we really struggle. September fixture list is just what we need to improve the performances. Spurs will be more confident but good thing we have options in midfield other than Henderson.
Next game v spurs is huge. Right after internationals. If Henderson plays two 90mins imo he should be benched. Milner should start 100% Salah is binning off Egypt til they apologise?
Winning is a good habit. Performances will improve. I am more happy that we are grinding out results.
The 3 points are welcome but that 2nd half was bad. We conceded the control to Leicester. A top 4 team would have punished us. At this stage I don’t believe in this nonsense about getting 3 points for a poor performance being the sign of champions. Neither does Klopp it seems. Because sooner or later the crappy performance will come and bite us in the arse.
I don't agree with that. 3 points when you've performed badly is the sign of a champion. None of us want poor performances but managing games, seeing them out and coming away with all the points is what we should have been doing but weren't, now we are. Performances will improve and we'll get all the points and great football
No it not the sign of champions at this stage totally agree However it is a sign that our team did not lose their **** as they would have done last year Our keeper after the glaring **** up sorted his own arse out I think these are good signs for the season ahead Think everyone is agreed performances need to be upped
Should have been all over after 20 minutes, never mind by half time. And at 2-0 5 minutes into the second half - just why wouldn't Mo pass to an unmarked Bobby? Pah. That said from the goalie, just because he wants the ball doesn't mean we should give it to him. Modric would have struggled to do anything with that hospital pass - if you're just giving the goalie the option to wellie it forward (like England did in the WC), then wellie it forward yourself.
