So we were pants most of the game. But Leicester had 1 good chance and it came from Allison’s **** up. Rest of the game thy created nothing of note and we were fairly comfortable in our final 3rd. Allison generally did well with his handling, couple good saves he made look comfortable. Gomez outstanding again today. Midfiekd and foresrd 3 let side down really. Saying all that, Leicester were very good and not many sides will take win at king power this year if they play like that, especially with vardy back But overslly, 4 wins in 4, 1 goal conceded. Let’s all be happy with that going into the break. More time for Fabinho to work himself into the team as well. Our job is done for this weekend and it’s over to the others now
Good first half, abysmal second half. Alisson should be told to stop dicking around with the ball. Felt sorry for TAA, left on his own far to often. Hendo was pretty poor as was Wiji. A win is a win, but it would have been nice to go into the break with no goals conceded. Now we just have to hope no one picks up any serious injuries. Thought Gomez was our best player today, VVD looked a bit flappy at times which is unlike him.
Great 3 points ! Fantastic But v. mediocre performance. Goal conceded. Our confident goal keeper suddenly looking shaky. Performances have been getting steadily worse. This worse than the previous one. Just hope that we maintain the results despite the form. The way we finish the season>>> the way we start.
In 2013/14 We won first 3 1-0 when Suarez was out. I can recall back in souness days a 5 win streak at start if a season but not sure. will have to look both up always interesting to see where it compares.
Now that really was "winning ugly" . Started well but seemed to got to pieces after Wijnaldums error and never regained the initiative from then on. Seems strange to be relying on the defence but that is what we are doing at present despite todays **** up. Klopp really needs to have a look at the positions the front 3 are taking up plus point out to Salah he can pass to other players apart from Firm.
I thought Leicester were unlucky to be 2 down to our hungover lot. They were never going to score though, so Alisson decided to give them a fighting chance. Shame really, should have been 4 clean sheets, and overshadowed Gomez brilliant performance
Alisson is probably not used to the constant high press of the league. Hope he learns from it. Woeful performance otherwise
This is the moment for Allison. Once you’ve been caught making an error it’s about making sure you learn from that. He was gonna get caught at some point, he’s done it, we’ve still won and now hopefully he knows forwards are clever and he adapts. Klopp will have a word with him now no doubt as it’s clearly not his a one off
I refuse to moan as it's 4 from 4 and any other time I'd be pissing myself with joy. Gomez exceptional again. Robertson fantastic. I going to lump everyone else in from slightly **** to awful.
An uncomfortable game but 3 points is what it is all about. I hope I never see such a poor midfield performance as the second half. Van Dyke is a legend, Gomez good, Keira and Shaq did very well and steadied the ship. Glad to hear the final whistle
What were his other mistakes? Thought he played very well today. Caught crosses, made 2 very good saves. Only thing id say is that needs to learn game management. He was often looking to pass the ball out quickly in 2nd half when we weren’t ready for the ball (which is also the players mistake) instead of just holding on and killing the tempo a bit
