Who plays up front? Wickham and Ji from the looks of things We play our home tie against Arsenal on the 11th February - the ACN goes from the 21 Jan and the 12th Feb. The 2012 Africa Cup of Nations to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea will be played between 21 January and 12 February. (From the BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/africa/9407634.stm This could cause some unrest (with the natives rather than the players) Although if things are going well then I suppose it won't really matter and the players coming in will be playing with a bit of confidence... Bit worrying though having 2 main strikers unavailable for 1 game (possibly 3 if Benin qualify - which is possible)
That's a long way away, and I fully expect young Wickham to have started to make his mark by then...Plus Campbell will hopefully be fit by then, so who knows eh..
I'm more concerned with the next 4 or 5 games tbh. Its imperative to our season that we win a few of our upcoming fixtures, Chelsea I can't see us winning so we must beat Stoke at home because Norwich will be tough away from home. Then we have to beat wba at home with two tough away fixtures following. I think if we get a result against chelsea we can go on a mini run of results that could set us up for the season.
That will be up to our new manager in January surely................................................................ I'll get me coat. Lol
Lost likely but Bendner and Gyan won't be able to play still - not sure what the policy is for the remaining nations (Benin, Egypt etc.) and whether they will come home or what!!
