Well if we can transfer that to the first team I will be well happy http://www.swanseacity.net/page/Latest/0,,10354~2437855,00.html
good game..we matched them man for man until they had a player sent off then we took the lead and we were a bit under the cosh from then...but pool put out a quality side to be fair..so we did well with a mix of fringe players and youngsters
i thought we looked very good at times. cotts and beattie played well and gower bossed the game in the middle!
It was an enjoyable game & the Swans played well, with a lot of possession 2nd half especially, with the extra man. Needed to pick-up the tempo a bit I felt, got behind the Liverpool defence & put some quality balls into the box, lack of end product prevented further goals. Thought Cotterill & Beattie played really well, impressed with the latter's work rate!! Lucas was steady in the middle, put in some good interceptions & a quality ball through for Beattie who was brought down for the penalty. Quite liked the look of Ben Davies & Josh Pike at the back (latter coming on for Alfei). Liverpool always looked dangerous & went close to levelling several times as the game wore on. But the Swans, due to last ditch defending & Tremmel, managed to keep them at bay. A good run-out by the Swans kids, but I don't see the likes of Butler, Orlandi & Gower, influencing much with the 1st team squad this season, although Gower will often make the bench I suppose!! Finally, good turn-out last night. Officially 2,500. But seemed a bit more than that.......
Did seem a lot more than 2,500! the stewards werent very organised mind!! The back four looked very comfortable on the ball. who was the lad who came on for cotterill? thought he looked quite decent!
They did, I thought that.... Gwion Edwards!! They obviously didn't expect such a walk-up, but still there seemed enough of them (stewards)!!.....
feel a bit more happier with our depth in the squad. Ok it was only liverpools kids, but liverpool u19's were in some european cup thing so they must be pretty good and we totally controlled the game and scored goals!!
quickly calculating to aus dollars, good price for a good game considering the opposition, and hopefully no queing for a feed, a drink and a toilet break
Mustyfrog whats it like over in brisse/I did live in cairns some yrs ago, Im in perth I think they charge $30 to see the Glory over here
from what i can gather on the club site you can get cheap seats for 20 if you are the cheapest season ticket holder, dearest seats if a ST holder are 30 bucks with a pile of xtra addons, walkups can be 30-35, with the roar winning last season hope the crowd figures rise. u anywhere waikiki - got inlaws living there? ST are 395, 325 or 250 for the 13 games
Not bad price for the roar,Will be nice to see how wales get on tonight should win .Eng tues will be a hard game to win, What do you think we will do vrs arsenal next wk ,we could score our first goal & maybe win. no down in Mandurah, good luck to the swans,
