these are the type of games/fixtures we should embrace and enjoy, also if we continually get these type of games, players WILL want to come and play for us hopefully.

our current players will enjoy the challenge as well.

Not moaning personally... love all those high profile fixtures... just tough timing with sets of 2 big matches in same seven days up until Christmas.

Suppose it could work to our advantage in keeping the squad lifted rather than getting caught out with a "wee team" the match before or after..

The draw is very favourable for City but the rest of our competition have the same problem. This is what being in the CL is all about....all this waiting around for a week malarkey for a game is doing my head in! Can’t wait!!

Just hope that everyone returns from the internationals fit and healthy.

Interestingly, at the point Benfica were picked (only team we would have replaced in pot2) we could only have been in pot A, B, C or D as both Manchester clubs are already in the other half. At that point only groups B and C were left, so we would have ended up with Barcelona or PSG anyway

We can be lucky to be in Group E, Benfica are in pot 3.

Group E: Bayern Munich, Benfica, Ajax, AEK Athens
 
Speaking of European football, I see RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig are in the same Europa League group - just a slight conflict of interests there!

I cannot understand why he is having a go at Mauricio Pochettino and Jurgen Klopp, I think he wants united to occupy the top
of the table where these people teams are at the moment. Just a wide guess anyway:laugh:.

Poch spent nowt... he's not excuse having a dig at him.

The klopp stuff is just him being a dick about spend when in fact we saved it all up and waited for the players we wanted and got a massive cheque off barca. he ignores the fact he's had 3 years of getting players himself and spent far more to deliver less.

cb: he bought lindeloff
LB: not sure which hack bought shaw but he's now playing him.
CM: he bought fred
CM he bought matic
CM: he bought pogba

wide forward: he bought sanchez

Like... hang on here.. whats the beef after 3 years on others underachieving?

does it mean he's "over acheiving" or is it just he feels the press are giving him a hard time?

Perhaps that's where its all gone wrong this summer. Jose keeps asking for these foreign names and Woodward thinks he's asking for takeaway.
