    The Reality
Frank Field lost a No Confidence vote from his local party last month as a direct result of his voting in favour of the Tories' Britait bill and was facing imminent deselection

    The Fiction
"Frank Field RESIGNS the Labour whip over anti-Semitism crisis" - The Express
"Frank Field resigns Labour whip over antisemitism crisis " - The Grauniad
"Labour veteran Frank Field QUITS the party over anti-Semitism" - Daily Mail
"Veteran MP Frank Field resigns Labour whip, saying the party's leadership has become 'a force for anti-Semitism'" - BBC News

Remember to feign surprise when Kate Hoey trots out the exact same lines when she's on the chopping block...

I can't help but notice that the usual hacks are trying to portray Frank Field as being beloved by his constituents and how that nasty Corbyn bullied a decent man out of his role.

    Complete and utter bollocks.

As the people of Birkenhead will be happy to remind you, when Edmund Dell retired the local Labour party selected somebody completely different to stand in the by-election, only for Field to be parachuted in to the safe seat - and a it was a long-standing bone of contention that he did not reside in Birkenhead, usually only showing his face when an election was coming up, and he spent the best part of forty years sitting on his backside claiming his MP salary while doing absolutely nothing for the people of Birkenhead other than wear a Labour rosette every few years - and that's before getting into the "Wirralgate" thing that his name keeps getting attached to.

Is someone employed at the WH to paint Trump's head or is that a complete canary wig?

  9. Interesting article, primarily focusing on the values that John McCain brought to US politics, values so sadly lacking in the present incumbent of the WH.

However, if you take the time to listen to Joe Bidens eulogy - or indeed Bill Clinton's at Aretha Franklin's event, then you remember that all is surely not lost politically with that country.

  10. So, the Trump-loving UK far-right have flown a balloon mocking London Mayor Khan. Supposedly for his overseeing a rise in knife crime...

They have however chosen to mock him by depicting him in a bikini, a reference to the Mayor removing the 'beach-body-ready' ad on the tube.

Maybe should have done more research, as the rise in suicide rates for young females for body image reasons over the last decade is exponential compared to the rise in knife crime deaths. <doh>

Oh well, guessed facts ain't so important these days....

There's so much dickhead in this plan it's bloody hilarious

First it was organised by "free speech campaigner" Yanny Bruere...and by "free speech campaigner" I, of course, mean far-right demagogue who spends approximately eight hours a day on Twitter kvetching about how he's being censored

Then his plan was to copy the Trump Baby balloon, which immediately made him look unoriginal and humourless

Then he was so keen to brag about how he'd received money from the likes of Tommy Robinson and that failed gameshow contestant who was arrested for spreading racial hatred while off her tits on ketamine, making them look like the Trump Baby balloon made them really, really angry

After that he assumed the left would collectively implode with indignation because the "snowflakes" got "triggered" - only to be met by shrugs and laughter, while drawing attention to how the right lost their **** when their god was portrayed as the bawling infant he is

But then came his trump card, assuming that Sadiq Khan would block the move...only for him to approve it and take the piss in the process

And having drawn attention to himself, it wasn't long before people soon found various antisemitic and islamophobic tweets he'd posted, which wouldn't have been brought to the public's attention if he didn't plan the balloon in the first place or, you know, if his voice had ever been censored!

  13. How will the Met cope with a demo of that size and still arrest all those knife-wielding murderers??

And a nice touch to put Muslim, Sadiq Khans face on an inflatable pig!
Classy! No racism to see here, none at all, no Siree!!

  14. ‘Some attendees are chanting that it’s time for Sadiq Khan to go’ - yes, the two who have actually developed the power of speech and are not still relying on a series of primeval grunts to get themselves heard.... <laugh>

I wonder what Michael Fabrican't's excuse will be when he retweets those as well?

Interesting that was the typo I made when spelling Fabricant's name, as there's a far more obvious (and deserving) one out there...

  17. I watched both his and Obama's eulogies. Brilliant, heartfelt oratory from both - Obama to be expected, less so Bush.

What was clear as day were the less than subtle digs from both at Trump and his ilk.

Never let it overshadow the event, but it was clear they had free rein (from the former Senator and the McCain family) to make those damning statements.

Maybe, just maybe, there will now be enough collaboration between Senate Democrats and Republicans to see the end of this monster.

If John McCain's last act was to galvanise the US political establishment against Trump, then he will have been a true hero in every sense :emoticon-0148-yes:
