Arsenal are surely ****ed. Why did Wenger abandon his 15 or so year policy just to sign Mikel Arteta, who blues reckon has been past his best for 2 years or so, and Yossi Benayoun, who was never consistent enough to start on the left in a Liverpool side that had Albert Riera and Ryan Babel as his competitors for the left wing spot. Arsenal have also signed a centre back that turns about as fast as the titanic and isn't used to playing in a high defensive line. Am I missing something here or do these signings stink of panic buying? Because to me they do. *I know this isn't an Arsenal thread but just wondering what the Mancs and other Liverpool fans made of it.
