It should sink in to a few by now, that it costs Swansea City Football club nearly 50M a year without a team? That's the bottom line from the audited accounts, expect the Yankee fiddlers to piss off soon, once they have suckered the last penny from the club. How can the none playing staff cost be this legitimately high for a small club like us?
I can't see the audited accounts because the link from Taff doesn't show them. But I thought that the wages bill was 80%-odd of the income? Can't see how that can't be fixed. Granted the wage bill should have been slashed by now but the income has been as well. Incidentally, is there any figure for management charges or similar that could have been used to siphon off cash? Dividends are the other way...but if they give themselves a loan, it would be repayable or deducted in any sale, I guess. Even in administration/liquidation, a loan would be repayable.
On the football side of things, we may actually struggle to put out a team of any description second half of the season
Revenue this year alone will be over £100M, Parachute payments £45M Player sales £45M and season tickets/pay tickets, TV money £10M, now think about the pittance they have spent on the squad!......................... Also Player wages have been slashed from £52M to £16M, if they get their sales out with Bony, Dyer, Narsingh, Routs, then the wage bill will be just £4M!!!!! Other subsidiaries named in the balance sheet were, Swansea City Football Club Limited, 99.4% holding Swansea City Association Football Club Limited, 100% holding Swansea Stadium Management Company Limited, 33.33% Swansea Stadium Premier Club Limited, holding 50% Seems to me the club is being milked well and truly, they are making Petty look like a schoolboy, hope I'm wrong with this, cannot see it though.

Well there u have it. A mate of mine who supports you told me you had a wage bill of 99m. Didnt really believe him. Mis management of the highest order. All u need now is Peter Ridsdale. Last day of window. You need Bony out of the door.
The players wages was never 80% of turnover, the players wages is and was never the issue, and certainly not now that we have offloaded the entire team, what is the issue is the almost £50 Million of ‘none player wages’ £47Million of what? This issue went through the roof in 2014, before then it was a fraction of today’s figure. There have been no reductions whatsoever in none playing staff wages, which included directors fees wages dividends etc, the staff numbers are 266............
Phil - is it the case, and I most certainly do not know it for a fact, that the Payroll line is inflated because it includes the ‘spreading’ of signing-on fees over the lifetime of a player’s contract. For example, Gomis joined on a ‘free’ but his signing on fee (several millions allegedly) was paid ‘like a salary’.
I don't know whether you heard Dineen on Swansea Sound in the summer stating that the Club will continue to be run as if we're still in the PL and that was aimed at the backroom staff etc. I'm not advocating for one minute that someone on the minimum wage lose their job but the upper echelons such as over half a million each to both jerkins and Pearlman for example should seriously be looked at including a vice chair Dineen himself . The list below is not exhaustive as those highlighted below in the main have people working under them, with some roles duplicated .But it just shows how much is needed to run a professional club but probably not in a professional manner it should be. Yes you probably could but it takes certain type of skill level to do it as incompetently as some of those at the top table have done
I would have thought Taff that that would have come under Trade creditors wouldn’t it? Still I think the Trust should look into these non playing staff wages they seem very inflated since 2014, at present our player staff wages are £16 Million, if we do offload Bony, Dyer, Routledge, and Narsingh today, then that bill will come down to £4 Million, there’s no way that none player staff wages should be anywhere near £47Million. You do realise that unless we get back into the PL this season, we are stuffed next year, as the money will have run out, and there will no longer be the value in transfers, that’s why I think theses Yanks, will either piss off at the end of this season, or sell on.
There's a few names missing, Tate for example, as I say the people highlighted above are the main point of contact. When you consider that each age group in the Academy from the age of eight upwards has two coaches plus physios in attendance each time an age group plays albeit on part time wages then you can see the potential for a huge wage bill . Landore and Fairwood have to be maintained so how many ground staff and catering staff are at each location as another example. jerkins has a couple of heavies ,I don't suppose he's paying for them either.
The staff numbers by the clubs accounts is 266, if for argument sake, say the club pay them all £30,000 per year, that would only come to £7.9 Million, this gives you a perspective on this outrageous £47 Million none player staff wages, something is not right here.
