It was going to a tribunal but in the end we agreed and it was undisclosed, so any amounts is just speculation. Would have thought between the £50-100k mark... probably the lower-end with add-ons! Seems strange he left his loan early, then came back to us and almost immediately had his contract terminated - a bad egg maybe? They suggested he was a bit too big for his boots when we signed him!
Joe Garner from Forest coming in? Forest fans seem to think he is a decent player if given a chance and can play out wide too.

That sounds about right!! We sign strikers but they often fail to perform lol. That and LB are definitely our bogey positions!!!

Are you happy with only Joe Garner signed on deadline day? I'm happy we singed a striker but a defender would've been good as well.

I was never actually going to close this thread. It was more an exercise to prove a point to people. There have been a lot of complaints about where things are being posted. I thought i would post the thread to prove the point that the news thread should be for that rather than long winded discussions and evaluations and if the news is going to be discussed it is ok to start a thread, even if said thread only gets 5 posts!
According to the WO the club received no enquiries let alone an offer for Mapps. I wonder if the welsh news is so slow they have to write an article on every name ever mentioned!!!
