Jansson sounds like he's done well, Shackleton too, and seems like Bamford has been lively considering the service has been pretty poor. The rest need to buck their ideas up if they're serious about breaking into the first 11.
Difficult for some of them, it's a team that's been thrown together. Most would probably look better if they're slotted into a side containing the majority of the first team starters.
Sooner we’re out of the cups the better. Our problems every season begin with cup performances. Even when we beat scum with Beckfords goal, our season went to hell afterwards. Saiz spitting in the cup last season was the defining moment also. McAllister lost his job after a cup fiasco
It's alright to say you don't care if we get beat in the cups, but it's still bloody hard to take when it happens. Casts doubt on our reserve CB options - Shaughnessy hasn't covered himself in glory. Might make Bielsa look again at the position?
Even though this is our second XI I imagine Preston have also made a few changes and to be 2-0 down to 10 men is a bit piss poor. Not going to get too grieved about it but this lot can't have done much for their chances in the first XI. Just hope we do the business on Friday with a decent win. Don't want any hint of a slide.
