Yep. He has had things made very clear. He's digging his heels in because he won't take a pay cut. Not good is it.
I just don’t like Gabbi on his tod, but that’s a pretty ‘new’ looking Brighton defence, and hopefully Armstrong can see through his Fonte Cloak.
Just bloody well win Saints. Don't care how you do it, just score more goals than them. One and a clean sheet, win 3-2, whatever, don't care; just ffs win a game of football, how hard can it be...?
.,, and if it doesn’t work out for Gabbi, the doubters will be right on it... “Well, he didn’t take his chance did he...”
The doubters Ffs get a grip. What if he scores a brace? Will the spunk masters be calling him the new Ronaldo? I wouldn’t. I’d be happy and looking forward to Hughes having options for the next game. After all, it’s only one game.
we have a whole squad of quite good players. Not quite good enough to beat Everton or Leicester but quite good enough to win tonight
Quite good might be an overstatement, and what we're missing is some kind of overarching ethos...we have a bunch of okay players with strengths and weaknesses, but we haven't built the squad with any style in mind, nor are the players sent out really chosen to emphasize any area. Are we a pressing team? Nope. A team that monopolizes possession? Nope. A team that counterattacks quickly? Nope. A defensive team? Dear god, no. We just kinda have a large collection of guys, and we shuffle the deck to see what comes of any particular combination, in part because none of those pieces are particularly great fits with one another.
