Twtd in meltdown, when fit he can be great but sadly hardly ever fit. Its a risk but if he can replicate his Wolves form (when he played) then it would be a great bit of business as recall he was getting rave reviews!
I think this was the last position we needed to have options. Hurst doesn't seem to exactly help himself sometimes.
He send his love too Spanish xxxx Not for me this, unless as a mate for Bishop + Adeyemi - far too injury prone. Desperate.
Really? We have used Sears, Ward, Jackson and Edun already in that position and none of them are natural.. Or have nailed down that position. It makes sense to bring in an attacking wide player to give some balance to the side with Edwards on the other wing. Having said that, Graham has played the same amount of championship games as Nydam in his whole career so is hardly an 'experienced campaigner' which we could do with in the side. Also, he has been available all summer and (to my knowledge) we have shown little to no interest in him until now.. Which smacks a little of desperation to me, but then I think there might be a good player in there still.
Yes really. We have Ward and Edun, Jonas could play there, some of the other midfielders like Huws could fill in there. I think we need options to play ahead of Nolan in number 9 and 10 roles and we desperately need options in at centre back. Given that we are limited in the number of loanees we can field and that this chaps injury and goalscoring records are poor, this seems like a strange one.
You know whenever we have had successful sides in the past, good players have been able to switch and fill in in different positions and the same goes for the top sides now, especially if you look at Manchester City. I don't quite understand having so many options for one position, the only place that doesn't work is central defence and strikers where you need to have round pegs in round holes, and which for some reason is where we don't have options.
That has to be some sort of typo?! Jonas at left wing? I think we should be moving on from the days of round pegs in square holes and we are woefully short of another wide player of a similar standard to Edwards... Which makes us quite lopsided. I am a fan of Ward and Edun has done a decent job there, but even then that's 3 players to cover 2 roles.. We've been here before and it doesn't end well when we cross our fingers and hope that players stay fit all season.
Jonas must be the best left-footed crosser of the ball in the side and he can get up and down. I'm not talking about playing there week in week out, but if I was manager I'd be working out scenarios like that for players getting injured and then plugging the obvious gaps before I signed more depth for some positions unless it's an option that's clearly better than what's already in the squad. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm underwhelmed by signing this chap.
Interesting idea, but I’d rather give Kenlock that opportunity further forward and keep Knudsen further back. I know he’s still young, but Kenlock strikes me as a player much more suited to attacking than defending.
Kenlock is absolute garbage IMO nowhere near good enough. Cannot kick a ball properly like you say. Needs to move on. Feel for Emmanuel in all this - apparently players WON'T be going out on loan. I don't get what's going on with the lad.
I think you'd be trying it and training and see what clicked. I think it's good for players to have a bit of variety, they become better all round footballers. John Lyall's side particularly would be very versatile and Guardiola's not afraid to mix it up. Bobby Robson never had the luxury of having two or three players for each position and I think it can be a hindrance sometimes to play a weak player in position instead of a strong player out of position.
