Yes he threw all his money at Van Persie saying "I don't give a **** if this team disintegrates in 12 months so long as I can go out on a high" He betrayed Man Utd in his final years, only thinking about his own legacy and exit strategy
What happened last time Manchester United lost two of their opening three league games - and how it could be a GOOD omen http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/foot...a-good-omen/ar-BBMx3sl?li=AAnZ9Ug&ocid=AARDHP
I don’t agree. Fergy wasn’t the money man or the guy who built Utds brand. He was extremely lucky that he had a chairman who saw where football was going and capitalised. Remember, Ferguson’s success didn’t start until some years in so during the barren years, he was bank rolled by a very patient chairman. There is no doubt, however, that once they started to win, his success helped them grow...but it’s folly to suggest that he alone was responsible for the off field finances. The business people were, they capitalised on his success and supported him for more.
exactly kkk, many times down the years fergie brought ****e, but he was fortunate enough that he could hide them in the BIG squad they had and then get rid and given more money to keep spending on players and not having to sell to buy like most other clubs had to deal with.
He's deffo made mistakes but he's had the players to reply on to get him out. the difference between say when he messed up with the goalkeepers or when he bought veron or the later years of bebe, anderson etc etc is that the squad he had was full of leaders. he bought enough good uns to have that. right now utd look utterly bereft of leaders No CB thats dominant there now. No midfield general. No scholes, gigges neville (he really did well there and that drove his team for years) no ronaldo. He's got lukaku up front who hides. he's got felliani in midfield and he's stuggling at CB. even de gea doesn't look any sort of leader in dressing room and as the best player he ought to be. contrast to klopp who's spent his time weeding out bad attitudes painstakingly and waiting for who he wanted and nobody else will do. We have alisson, vvd, keita, firmino, slaah mane, We are developiong gomez and TAA, robertson is a huge bonus. milner's attitude drives us on.
yes but he also oversaw all of the youth sides and made sure they had a worthy academy. Obviously he wasn't out raising business and generating the revenue but his success and Sky TV are why they are as big as they are. I guess the point is if you are crediting shanks of leaving the infrastructure in place then you could point the same to fergie.
bang on the head. There are no leaders in that squad, certainly players who are of the required level to martial the rest of the team. Saying that though, it all lies with Jose. It's happened at Real, it happened at Chelsea and it's happening against at United
Thought it was a comparison between Lovren and Williams. There's any number of poor players with medals. None of them yours
