Hopefully the plan is to toughen him up without putting him up against some of the more agricultural defending you'll find in League Two.

The side play in a tiny stadium in Palma, Majorca. Anyone heading out there can check it out! <laugh>

The lower leagues in Spain still concentrate on skill and technique rather than lots of physical stuff. He may learn a little about the dark arts while he is there though

Matches in the islands and around the Costas sounds a lot nicer than Hull etc.

****ing dumb move. Don't see any logic in it whatsoever.

Our U23 games are probably more competitive than the Spanish third tier.

Aren't we getting millions for being in Europe (CL)…..or is it all going on the new ground?

was a beautiful goal he scored. He put a beautiful ball on a plate for sessegnon against you boys as well (only seen MOTD highlights of him) but he looks handy.

He had a decent game against us in general, but didn't have a lot of time on the ball.
You can see why lots of clubs looked at him. I've yet to see why they all failed to follow up on their interest.

Maybe that's because we don't know the thinking behind the move. Does he have a Spanish name? Is there a connection? Maybe his family need to be in Spain and this has been done to help. Taking the bare information and forming opinions often leads to mistakes. This won't be some random decision there will be reasons.

Or maybe we’ve just picked a terrible league to send him on loan?

Taking the bare information as you put it, is what us fans can only do, we rarely get to find out the ins and outs of every deal or why stuff gets done but we formulate our opinions based on football, not because he may or may not have Spanish heritage - and even if that were the case, it still doesn’t justify him joining a Spanish third tier side, a Segunda División one would be far more ideal and fitting for someone of his talent.

His mother's Venezuelan, although I have no idea if she's based on the UK or the Balearics.

One possible explanation (read: rampant speculation on my part) for the move comes down to ex Leeds/Norwich striker Luciano Becchio being Baleares' current AssMan, and the two of them were certainly in Catalonia at the same time with Poch winding down his playing career at Espanyol while Becchio was playing for Terrassa and Barca B, so it might be down to helping out a mate of his.

    Into Extra time.

Nervous for Son. Could be army for him. And we'll have to look for a replacement-Martial?

Wouldn’t surprise me if we try signing him next summer... for triple what we could’ve paid this one.

Couple of my Fener mates have just said Sissoko to Fener is basically done. Loan move. One of their journos is trying to find out flight times so the fans can greet him at the airport tomorrow.

  20. A part of me will be sorry to see him go. A very very small part of me, admittedly, but a part nonetheless. <laugh>
