I would like to see this lineup: Gunn Stephens, Bednarek, Yoshida, Targett JWP, Armstrong, Reed, Hesketh Gabbiadini, Gallagher
Isn’t Reed going out on loan? Think we may not play him to prevent him from being Cup-tied or getting hurt. Or he might be gone by then. If the loan has fallen through, then he should start. Yoshida, Target, Stephens,JWP and Gabbiadini are must starts for me. They need the playing time and/or deserve a chance to show their stuff. And they’re not really that much of a second XI, they still give us a good chance of winning. Then either Forster or Gunn in goal. Fill in the rest depending on how bad we want the win vs who needs a runout or whatever.
The accumulation of yellow cards is competition specific but red cards are same as last year. He definitely misses the cup game. E.g 5 Prem bookings by cutoff misses next Prem game; 2 individual cup bookings misses next game in that cup.
Does anyone ever use club coach? The ticket has a name on it but my mate is going on my sisters number...
*whispers* I actually quite like that team full stop. Ings for Gallagher. Lemina for Reed. Bertie for Targett. Vesty for Bednarek and it’s a decent first team!
We may not have some of the class we have had in the past, but we can field two teams of nearly identical quality this season. Our starting eleven is not that obvious. This could be a real advantage to us when injuries and tiredness kick in later in the season. #positivity
https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/2018/august/jahanbakhsh-set-for-home-start/ New signing Jahanbakhsh may debut for Brighton tomorrow. I really want to hear Merson pronounce his name
I've used the club coach TLL. It's not so much the name on the ticket but they have a list where they check the names off. It depends on what name the ticket was booked under. Having said that, they've never seemed to be too worried as long as the numbers add up.
That's what im thinking, I was going to ring and try and sort it but thinking about it I'm sure it will be fine.
Southampton will be without suspended midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for the Carabao Cup second-round tie at Brighton. The Denmark international serves a one-match ban after being sent off for two yellow cards against Leicester on Saturday. Saints boss Mark Hughes intends to make changes at the Amex Stadium which may mean a debut for goalkeeper Angus Gunn. Defenders Matt Targett and Jan Bednarek, captain Steven Davis and striker Manolo Gabiaddini could make their first starts of the season.
Want to see Gallagher. That’s my one hope. Just want to see him given a chance. Even if it doesn’t work out and he isn’t any better than Long, it’s time to give someone else a chance.
He does what he does, but he is not good enough. Running around a lot is not what we need from our strikers. “Very good” is a big stretch. He did the bare minimum we should be expecting
