So basically in your first point they chanced their arm asking you for something, you said no and they walked away? In your second point they done something (scummy) that happens all over the UK and Ireland every day. They even make programmes about it ffs. Hardly grounds for a lynching Medro.
I'm telling you my experiences with them, walking on to my property down my driveway and peering into my garage to see if there was anything they liked. Does everyone do this? Yeah, I know cowboys act like that all over the U.K, again I was recounting my experiences with the travelling community. Are you telling me you don't know any cases where they have done a job for someone and charged a fortune and then either cleared off without completing it or just doen a real ****e job?
when the carnival came here a couple of months ago, two gypo boys came up my road asking for scrap metal, they were halfway down my drive before i stopped them and asked what they were doing. we had some old wheels round the side, they were obviously going to steal them.
There's not much point raising individual instances of traveller crime however I reckon I could top any of yours... My stepfather owned an old quarry which became a rubbish tip and he ran a skip hire company from there. Being verbally abused/threatened by travellers on his land was a regular occurrence. They setup camp in the field next to the dump which he also owned and rented out to horse keeping types. They dumped piles of rubbish in that field from their hedge trimming and rubbish removal business. They stole a lorry loaded with scrap metal, sold the scrap and then burnt the lorry. They stole another lorry which we did get back unburnt. Vanessa Redgrave described them as "strong, wise, warm and gentle community", I prefer to describe them as "thieving ****ing scum".
So on account of a couple of chancers having a duke in your garage and a botched job on your Grannys next door neighbour you think it's superb that a ton of people, including a very ill woman in her 70s' are evicted from their homes in England? Ffs man I know scummy Prods and I know scummy Catholics and yes, I know scummy Travellers. I'm sure you do too. No one has a monopoly on scumbags
You beat me to it. Also, my ex girlfriend was mugged coming back from the shop by a couple of white English guys while we were on holiday a few years ago. I expect that white English guys do this sort of thing everyday in England and elsewhere. Let's kick them all out of their homes
Its nothing to do with them being Irish at all. There are nearly 25000 Scottish travellers who face similar prejudiced views and also the Romany travellers (who also live at Dale Farm btw). As has been said every group has its good and its bad. I know a guy who goes collecting scrap metal who is English through & through & he'd nick anything thats made of metal.
Jesus man, where do you live? Maybe you need to start packing a piece. Yes Ciaran, crime is committed by all races and ethnic groups. Some, however, are more prolific or pre-disposed to bad behaviour than others, and are hence treated and perceived differently. It's not rocket science.
Like I said I am tellign you my experiences of the travelling community and there seems to be pattern developing with other peoples stories. If you erect buildings without planning permission, fly-tip, become a nuisance to your neighbours due to anti-social behaviour then yes expect to be evicted.
Aye these people should pay for the crimes different people commitied to folk on this site, makes hunners of sense. Bunch a ****ing predigest arseholes!
