Maybe the Aussies do have the money, they are being more disingenuous than they seem. They are not above manipulating the news. Planting the story about murphy looking for investors in the hope that Roland will eventually say "OK, just give me £30m if that's all you can afford". Roland craftily countering this by inventing another buyer, first one to tie up the deal gets the club. Either the whole thing is totally Machiavellian or I'm an old cynic, one of the two.

If they had the money it doesn’t take 6 months to fill EFL forms in. See the Aston Villa takeover, They are bullsh1t artists & chancers, in NLA’s words hoping RD blinks first ..

Yes, they are. Not honest enough to say Roland wants too much, rather go through this protracted charade. Roland has their measure though. I don't know who's worse.

RE has posted that he has been told that the club’s claim about the EFL waiting for paperwork from certain people is not true.

Mostly bad news this week. NLA has expanded a bit. The Aussies met RD's asking price but then some Saudi's arrived and matched it. The Aussies guzumped them by upping the bid and the Saudi's walked. Leaving the Aussies rith a price they don't want or can't pay. So they've stalled. The current situation is foggier, but essentially it's money. The Aussies won't pay and RD won't drop his price. Stalemate. If ths is true (and it joins all the dots) the Aussies are as much to blame as RD currently. What a mess.

I agree with you there Kenneth.

I reckon Dushitelet has agreed a price with the Australians and they have f****** around and he has stood firm on the price whilst they are trying to get the wonga together.

There is as much chance of them taking us over as there is Mr van Gerwen travelling to an away game with me.

THis version of events will do for me. I find Murphy's claim to be "Looking for investors" rather dubious. Seems more like an excuse for pulling out of paying the agreed price.

They either have the dough or they don't.

This has gone on for too long now and quite clearly they either don't have it, or are not willing to part with it.

    In NorthLondonAddick we trust.

NLA & his sources have stuck to their story in private & public throughout the summer.

Other people talked up the good news - short conversations morphed into 300-odd posts.

Now it’s all gone strangely quiet?

My guess is not willing to part with it, but either way their bid appears dead in the water. The value of the club gets less by the week as the odds on relegation shorten, so the chances of a new investor appearing diminish, or b) the chances of the Aussies deciding to pay the agreed price also diminish. We have to hope the alleged new interest is a serious buyer.

After 31 August it won’t matter even if we have Sheik Mansour in charge.

Someone at the training ground I am told.

He is genuinely thick - someone is having a massive laugh at his expense.

    Anyone else would stop ?

Young James Seed over on CL has posted a sort of ambiguous post that he 'didn't want to do personals' which vaguely suggests he knows something similar, or wants some credit for this new idea,
In other news, the word on CL is now that the Aussies DO have the money, but for reasons not specified are not willing to spend it - there is further ruour that RD was asking for 35m and the Aussies are now offering 25m. All of which sounds a bit more likely, though to be honest 25m is still a lot more than I see us worth to be honest. Our assets are very few unless you want to build houses on the Valley or Sparrow's Lane. Both of which would provoke a storm. As was mentioned on CL, if you wanted to buy a London club, Brentford are nearer the Premier, and probably cheaper. Who would spend the same for tier 3?

I think you might have misread it.

Numbskull BexleyBoy has posted that the latest hitch is Gerald (sic) Murphy being unwilling to move to the UK.

The same Murphy who has no experience of English football and isn’t a financial party in the bid.

    Nice one Colin <doh>

This has prompted an hilarious hissy fit from
    elsewhere <laugh>
