Ok. I'm useless with that stuff and can't load even single pictures onto a forum. But as a rule of thumb if it won't load it's probably too big a file.

It's frustrating as I can load them on Charlton Life easy enough. I'd like to put them on here but it's not happening.

Your pictures are presumably taking up too much memory.
Have you got a new camera? In future you may have to change the settings on your camera (or mobile phone camera) to lower the resolution Elfs.

If your pictures are very large (4,000 x 3,000 pixels or more than that for example) they simply need more memory space to store than this forum allows.
You can reduce them on a PC using any graphics software.
The latest cameras and phones might even have a function to reduce them for emailing purposes, but I'm not sure about that.
Any image around 1,000 x 700 pixels will be big enough to see details but low enough on memory to allow the forum to accept them.

Even if you cannot reduce the pictures you have already taken, check the settings on your device to see if you can select a smaller resolution, somewhere in the range I have suggested.
Then your future pictures should be OK for the forum.

Sometimes different pictures of the same pixel dimensions can take up different amounts of memory.
A fairly uniform image - such as a football pitch nearly all the same colour - will take up less memory than a picture with a lot of details and contrasting colours and/or light & dark in it - like a street scene with lots of different buildings and people.

I'm not quite sure why. I think it's something to do with how JPG images are stored.
JPG is still widely favoured as an image format even these days because it is very economical with memory space compared with other image formats, usually with only a minor loss of picture quality.

If you can't reduce the images, let me know where you have posted them on CL.
I can download them and reduce them, then post them in this thread on your behalf if you wish.

    Thanks very much Mr Lardiman.

If I can take you up on your very kind offer of transferring from Charlton Life that would be great.

If you look on the other football category, then transfer over game by game then I can post my rubbish against the pics.

We only had enough time for one more beer before the train home.

Even though it was my mate's round I was very reluctant to have one there.

Arundel is a lovely place and well worth doing a hop there. A word to the wise, make sure you go at the start or end of the season as they have terrible drainage problems. I attempted a game last season and went there to find the bloody game had been called off at 11.30, the same time as we arrived. A shame that we did not get to the ground till 14.30!

Ghastly saturday afternoon in store for me. Going to Selhurst as personal assistant to my friend with muscular dystrophy. When they run on to the pitch, being introduced as "The pride of south London" that's when the situation gets to you. You realise how far we're dropping behind our erstwhile rivals. You can hardly call us rivals any more, and the same could apply to Millwall before too long.. It really brings it home.
