I always liked Woman's Hour (I presume they still do that one?) Not strictly speaking a news programme, but full of interesting things about women which are not usually related to what they look like. A refreshing change in this eye-candy saturated world we live in. Also I like the paradox of the BBC having a programme specifically for women which lasts one hour - so implicitly accepting that an hour a day is adequate to address the whole gender equality issue. I guess it was back in 1946. I genuinely love Radio 4. The last outpost of the British Empire between here and Port Stanley. And I don't mean that as an insult.
The protest at the Valley was the first since it was announced the takeover was imminent. Although the pretext was to support the staff in the face of non-payment of bonuses, I see it in reality as a Roland Out demo. This suggests that whatever Rick &co say, they have lost faith in the Aussie bid.
