MATCH DAY THREAD I will do my first ever match thread and will have it up by later on this afternoon.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6912118/fa-changes-suspension-rule/ According to this suspensions for accumulated cards are specific but suspensions for a red card (or 2 yellows) are not, so he misses Brighton
ah fair enough. That makes a lot more sense so people don't deliberately pick up their 5th card to avoid missing league games.
I think we fixed the defensive issues of the previous games with PEH Mario protecting back 4 and pressing much higher. I think that made Leicester look more defensive. Then when we scored they upped a gear, we dropped and the goal got into their heads. For me we shd have replaced Moi with Armstrong immediately and replaced Ings with anyone but Charlie Cedrics failings from high balls has to be addressed. Is Stephens the answer because if he isn’t then we have to go 3 CBs again and I don’t think that is the answer
Although the sun say you can now deliberately pick up a 2nd yellow to miss a cup game and avoid getting a 5th yellow and a league ban as 2 yellows don’t count accumalitively as they become 1 red Errr, clear?
Yeah it took me a while to find anything definitive too but it appears I was wrong... not overly clear tbh.
I know I am biased but I have had a few looks at the penalty incident and it appeared to me that Ndidi's knee caught Hojbjerg and knocked his right leg which clipped his left and caused him to lose his balance, and I am not convinced that Amarty didn't clip Hojbjergs back foot as well, but the theatrical dive is what convinced Moss, who was always looking for an excuse to shaft us in my opinion. A dive is a dive however and I don't want cheaters to prosper even if it is one of our own.
I remember a very embarrassing one against the blue few... didn't like it when Tadic/Mane did it either.
Mane v's Spurs is surely the worst in modern times. He dived so much, when they started really fooling him, we couldn't even expect the ref to oblige! Cringe.
