Lots of panicking near the end. Morro missed a sitter and everybody else blazed away. Would have been nice to have 4 points before this stretch of matches :(

A forgettable 1st half, a slightly better 2nd half. I've just watched and I can't recall too much about the game except it was bloody frustrating.
We were playing for a draw 1st half, at least that's what it looked like. Felt sorry for Zohore, with the lack of service he ain't going to score.
I hardly noticed Paterson and Murphy 1st half, pretty much the same 2nd half until Hogg walked. Even then, when we upped our game it didn't seem we'd hit the onion sack. Disappointed, 2 points dropped for me.

Just wanted the 3 points, that would have been enough, but that Morro miss cost me 160 quid - 72 for the result and 88 for a scorer.....<steam>

First 60 minutes was woeful. Paterson shouldn’t be in the 25 squad. He’s not PL quality. Neither is Zahore. Hopeless

Unsure why the red card incident wasn’t a penalty as it was a clear foul? Answers on a postcard.

Disappointing again city couldn’t score v 10 men although did try to play possession football but toothless up front.

Morrison would have scored 9 times out of 10.

Frustrating as should have 4-6 points as we’re very likely to have 2 points after 6 games<doh>

A caller on “Call Rob” just made me chuckle...suggested that they bring in a forwards specialist to work with what we’ve got! ‘Harry The Turd Polisher’ apparantly! :emoticon-0103-cool:

You can't polish a turd masky.

Though you can roll one in glitter.

I don't agree with the Zahore comment. The guy just doesn't get any service. Zero. He is asked to play a holding role. Keep the ball and pass it off but he never gets the ball given to him cleanly and he never has anyone running of him. I agree he is stuggling but I don't think it is all down to his talent.

Still, I wih he could give us what Jay Bothroyd gace us back in the day!

Nin. Arter was booked for a foul and Hogg saw red for retaliation. Having seen the replay I think Arter was lucky not to have seen red as well.

Looked like Hogg had his arms wrapped around Arter which is a foul in the box which is a penalty?
Couple of times City players were floored in the box from corners. Like last season most were ignored. Maybe Morrison should be telling the ref to keep an eye out?

    Like this Nin pal? :emoticon-0103-cool:

King Harold was inspecting his troops on the eve of the Battle of Hastings, chatting with them and trying to raise their morale. He went to the swordsmen first, choosing a soldier at random from the ranks. “Do you feel ready for the battle tomorrow?” he asked. “Oh yes, sire,” the swordsman responded eagerly.

“Handy with that thing are you?” Harold asked, indicating the man’s sword. “Reasonably so, sire,” the man replied, “Watch!” He bent down, picked up a handful of grass, flung it in the air, and waved his sword about. When the grass fell down again, it had been cut into a neat line of soldier figures.

“Good work, man,” said Harold, impressed, “and good luck in the battle.”

“Thank you, sire,” said the soldier.

King Harold proceeded to inspect the pikemen. “Are you looking forward to the battle?” he asked one of their number. “Yes, sire,” the man replied eagerly.

“Good with your pike, are you?” the King asked. “Not bad,” the pikeman said. “See that flock of birds?” Harold nodded, and the pike went sailing through the air and when it came down five birds were skewered on it.

“Well done,” said Harold, “and good luck in the battle tomorrow.”

He then went to the archers, who stood menacingly with their longbows. “Are you ready for tomorrow’s battle?”, King Harold asked one bowman. The man squinted at him and said, “Good Lord, it’s the King! Yes I’m ready.”

“What can you do with that bow?” Harold asked him.

“What? Oh, this thing? I dunno. Someone gave it to me yesterday and told me to stay with these people here.”

“Well… do you see that barn over there, about twenty yards away?” said Harold.

The archer peered in the direction of Harold’s pointing finger. “Oh yes, I see it,” he said at last.

“Do you think you could hit it?”

The archer lined himself up in the general direction of the barn, grunting with the effort of drawing the bow, and loosed an arrow. It sailed past the barn, five feet too high and ten feet to the left.

Turning to his captain of archery, the King said, “Watch out for that man tomorrow, Captain. He’ll have someone’s eye out!”

Whilst watching I noticed the first corner we had at around the 30 minute mark. The defender seriously had an arm under each of Morrison's arms then bent up so his hands were pretty much on Morrison's shoulders. Zero chance for the attacking player to jump or go for the ball. To me that was an obvious penalty. Don't think we will get one of those all year though.
