I suppose that confirms Toby is 100% staying then. There’s no way we’d loan out CCV if Toby was possibly to go to a side in Europe while the window is still open.
"Subject to international clearance"? There really needs to be some sort of streamlining for the Welsh clubs in the English pyramid.
There’s also been rumours that the club has hit an impasse in negotiations with Eriksen. According to rumours he wants Kane money.
He knows he can earn big money elsewhere so why wouldn’t he ask it from Spurs? We need to pay him it or sell him for big money.
The second option simply isn’t an option for us. We are not competitive enough in the market to replace Eriksen. The gaping hole he would leave would be absolutely catastrophic. Just gotta pay the ****ing money for a change.
Losing him will cost us more. Gotta start weighing up which players are worth or close to being worth what Kane is, as we go forward. Eriksen is just as important IMO and should be paid accordingly.
Again I completely agree. But as a club we tend to work to a strict financial budget and that worries me that we can’t give Eriksen the money he can get elsewhere.
Yeah Eriksen is the only player in the side at the moment who makes a case for earning parity with Kane. If Kane's on £200k then I think Eriksen should be as well, or at least very, very close too it. I think he'll get it though, I wouldn't read too much into the media stuff, they're often incredibly unreliable when it comes to contracts... unreliable with everything actually. Half our side would currently be at Real, Barca, Utd and City if they were accurate. Once we hopefully get Eriksen sorted, the likes of Jan, Hugo (minus his recent **** up), Alli, Dier and Trippier should all then get competitive salaries with the rest of the market.
From the Official Site... Samuel Shashoua has joined Spanish Segunda División B side Atlético Baleares on loan until the end of the season, subject to international clearance. The 19-year-old midfielder, a product of our Academy, scored six goals in 27 games across Under-19 and Under-23 levels last season. These strikes included a goal in our UEFA Youth League away win against Borussia Dortmund as well a first-half strike in a Checkatrade Trophy tie at AFC Wimbledon. Anyone know anything about the Spanish Second Division? Would this be a good move or should we be underwhelmed?
It's one of those divisions where half the time the promoted teams didn't finish in the promotion places, as the division Baleares are in hosts the B-teams of Barca, Espanyol and Villarreal - and since Baleares are a firmly mid-table team, I doubt they'll be promoted this season anyway. I can't see why Shashoua would be loaned there, other than maybe he keyed Poch's car in training last week.
