Whiskey Sour (Ebor 3.40) 7/1 each-way seven places with skybet. Word is Willie has him primed. Won't be out of the money. Saver on Nakeeta.

There have been mixed results for punters at the Ebor meeting with two or three punts going astray. I cannot say that I have any strong opinion in the big handicap but Weekender comes from the top yard, has a top jockey and has top weight because he is the best horse in the race. I might have a small bet just for an interest. I would have been interested in Saunter but I think he wants some ease in the ground (last three wins on Good or softer) and he won’t be getting any today.

If Lord Glitters drifts out to 2/1 or more in the opener, I may get involved as he is the form pick if his last run is taken on merit. Notable that Seniority skipped the handicap earlier in the meeting to run in this and the Haggas yard is bang in form.

At the prices, I would rather be on Suedois in the City of York Stakes. We will know whether the Sussex form is questionable after Lord Glitters’ run in the opener and Beat The Bank runs in the Goodwood 2:05 but I would not be touching Expert Eye at even money.

The two that I was interested in for the 4:50 are both drawn out in the trees and I look to avoid large fields at York these days as you have no idea what they are going to do when they come into the straight, so watch for the Exhort/Alfarris forecast.

Over at Goodwood in the Prestige Stakes, I do like the look of ANTONIA DE VEGA although she will have to be good to step up to this level on the back of what looked a good maiden win. The market pretty much tells the story—the form horse is surely Look Around, who beat Ajrar last time in a Listed race, but The Queen’s Magnetic Charm also made all last time, so could they cut each other’s throats in front? I would not rule out Accordance, a course and distance winner from the record-breaking Johnston yard, who could sit behind the front two and look to pick them off. Looks like a race for the notebook with a view to the big juvenile fillies’ races.

Whilst I collected on Flaming Spear when he finished fifth in the Hunt Cup, I got my fingers burnt last time, so I am going to give him a miss today as he is only five pounds better off with the winner and I do not like hold up horses in big fields at Goodwood.

Took a slice 8s for Whiskey Sour Ew in Ebor with our old friend Skybet paying seven places.I believe in you is a cracking ew price at 10/1 in 4.15.Beat the bank should be a tough nut to crack in 2.05 at Goodwood, yard in rude health and c&d winner 7/4.

am with you regarding beat the bank, but i am a big ZONDERLAND follower, and he ran with much more purpose last time out in third, and there doesnt seem much between him and oh this is us,who was second that day.so,if stepping up a notch or two, should be firmly involved today..

well, surely not the most original choice, but the sussex stakes form of EXPERT EYE looks even better now, with both lord glitters and beat the bank winning again,so he looks to have a top shout here..

ok,thats another one for me!great ride by frankie!!but after having some issues, this could be a still a serious horse for the future.still has plenty ahead of him,i think..

    cartmel,3 20

while exchange rate shouldnt be underrated here,as the bowens regularly do well here,he might have quite a bit to find with the other two,DEAR SIRE and dieg man.both have a similar profile,in that they won her last time out,but DEAR SIRE could have an experience edge today,as he won over fences here last time out.wasnt overly impressive then as a odds on shot, but maybe still on a learning curve, and can do better today..

Usual wealth warning about information received. This one is really annoying because my mate texted me it at 2:30 and tells me that he got on each way at 12/1 last night. It is now 5/1...

    Newmarket 5:10 – PATRICK

Given how unlucky I am today, there should be a double wealth warning. I was in the pub watching the football and Racing UK when Lord Glitters went 2/1 just before the off, so I never had a penny on that. On Oddschecker, Antonia De Vega was showing 4/1 when I left the pub but was 11/4 when I walked into BetFred five minutes later, so I left it alone; it ran very green but got its act together in time to win. I should have done Patrick somewhere that I get a free bet when it is beaten a nose by the favourite...

most of these are rather in and out,but i think,SMILING JESSICA can go well.shes surely no worldbeater, but is mildly progressive, and her yard already had a winner here today.good chance, theres more to come..
