Might as well start it early. 3-1 morale-boosting win for the Mighty Whites, I think. Who's risking life and limb on international duty for us? If Gradel and Snodgrass get crocked then we're not going to be much good. Hopefully Becchio will get half an hour to ease him back in during this match. How's that Murray fella you nicked off Brighton doing for you by the way, Palace fans (if there are any of you)? Sorry to say it but I think you're getting demoted this season after a long spell of adversity. From the two Leeds/Palace fixtures I saw last season, you looked completely devoid of playmakers and only created a couple of chances, even in your win.
This has to be a win. If we lose this, then I'll start to seriously question SG's management. We've actually played well this season since the Southampton game, so we just need to be more clinical and keep all our players on the pitch (although White's dismissal was wrong). If Snoddy or Max are tired from internationals, I'd like to see Sam or Nunez start. Give Becchio a bit of time from the bench near the end. A clean sheet would be fantastic, but probably too optimistic. Maybe a new signing or two done for this game? A centreback would be a welcome addition - we need a bit of height in this team.
We may have looked devoid as you put it last season, but Dougie has the team playing "much" better this season (as the league table proves). Murray looked really good when he came on and scored against Blackpool last weekend, the international break has also come at a very good time for Palace, should have a few little niggly injuries cleared up in time for the trip to you. Cannot see us loosing this game to be honest, think you lot look like mid-table at best this season. Going for a 1-1 draw
The position in the table doesn't reflect how we have played. We probably should of won against West Ham but drew despite playing much better football, Middlesbrough won only because of the 2 reds for Leeds (when it was 11 v 11 or 10 v 10 Leeds dominated the match it was only when Leeds had 1 less man that Boro took control), we deserved to lose against Southampton, and Ipswich was complete bollocks (I still can't believe that ref sent Aidy White off when it was Jay Emmanuel-Thomas who fouled Aidy). 3-1 to Leeds.
If we play like we have been this season and manage to avoid any more incidences of stupendous bad luck I see a Leeds win. Max is gone but Nunez has proved he is more than ready to step in. Hopefully Snoddy will remain uninjured and we can get a left back in on emergency loan to cover for Aidy. Based on performances alone we've looked like serious promotion contenders, we just need to keep that up and we will start picking up the points. 3-0, a much needed clean sheet, McCormack and 2 more Nunez wonder strikes to prove we'll be OK without Max. Ever optimistic.
Keogh Nunez - Howson - Snodgrass Clayton - Brown O'Dea - Kisnorbo - Lees - Connolly Lonergan Really hope we get some loanees in. One at left/centre back, one for central midfield and one to cover all attacking mid positions if possible.
Collins, Clingan and Puncheon would have been perfect, but alas... Agree with your team apart from hoping a loanee LB comes in, let's hope Nunez keeps on doing the business.
sorry want a palace win, they are my team in the league thingy we're running, doing well at the moment.
I think it's a necessary sacrifice - Nunez and Howson can't perform in a 4-4-2 in my opinion and together, I think they'll make more of a contribution than Ross would. You've got to remember Ramon's record as well!
