The lack of investment in the squad in this window has made me feel that Levy has accepted that Redknapp will be gone at the end of the season and so is holding off making any long term big investments as our new manager will have his own targets next summer.

    Just my thoughts.

PS. Anyone else still having problems logging on and finding it extremely slow.

King, do you really believe that to be the case. What would the point of not strengthening because Harry will be gone at the end of next season. Surely Levy would want the team to be in a strong position not a weak one.
Yes there is a few slow loadings today.

It was seriously slow last night as well (for obvious reasons) and I think the databases went down about 4 times. They added new servers though so that should fix the speed now right?

Its still lagging, but thems the breaks at this time of the year.

After all, some teams have new players to talk and be happy about.

Yeah I think he wants to save money and not have players on long contracts that the next manager might not want, also every manager needs to make signings to put his own mark on the squad so with Adebayor on loan and Parker being risk free by only costing us £5million, the next manager will have plenty of funds to sign his own players.

If the money from CL & sales isn't going towards that then where has it gone??

That's part of it. A new stadium has to be another reason

I suspect a lot of the squad got a pay rise for the CL year and now cost a lot more despite not having the extra income. The economics of football are crazy now - but I still think we are right to work within them rather than 'invest' which looks more like gambling to me.

I'll be suprised if they all got significant pay rises to cut our spending by this much. I believe that like gericalo, the profit made from this window is designed to go towards our stadium plans and nothing else.

The site was very bad last night crashed about 10times.I just think we are trying to live within our means and also looking towards the future new stadium.
