Three days off with bugger all to do. I shall be hoping for nice weather, not only for any days out but because the house currently has no roof and due to the bank holiday weekend the steels aren't going to be delivered until next week so we are at the mercy of the elements. Tin hat and sheeting is up and should do the job but depending on the wind direction things could get a bit damp if it decides to chuck down. I may try to finish off the last bits and bobs for the paving and imaginary shed. Weather has cooled down enough to risk re-painting the timber where the resin bled through. Will try to spend some quality time with my new guitar, she's a fine looking specimen if I do say so myself. What are all you twats up to?
So on top of being an alleged ***** (pre-requisite for BBC employment), visiting women's lingerie departments and masturbating in a thong and unloading your seed into the gusset, being a dab hand at DIY thus allowing you to build imaginary sheds and now an imaginary house, you also play the guitar? If you joined The Union properly you could have our bank holidays too. Bet you don't care when you get a day off to celebrate the life and times of Wee Jock Poo Pong McPlop or summat.
Out on the piss tonight, decent band playing in some dingy club in town. Tomorrow do a few chores then out in the evening for a swingers meet. Sun, church lunch pub as per. Monday, old skool **** all.
I'm building a shed (really). Any tips for the roof, as it only has four sides and a door? I've made a floor from pallet planks on a 2"x 2" stud frame. Have plenty of corrugated steel for the roof, and been lent a tool for cutting it, but how to secure it on? Planning to use a roll of lead flashing for the apex, but not wholly convinced how to secure the sheets to the structure.
You could drill into the corrugated iron, plug and screw through it but use washers or grommets to prevent water ingress. They also do plastic caps you can put the screws through and seal once fixed in place, a bit like those you can fit bath panels on with. Unless you post pictures of your shed everyone will think you are a liar. This is a photo of my new guitar inside my pretend man-cave but because I haven't shown any external shots nobody believes it exists.
Have you laid a concrete foundation - couple of inches will do (ooerr missus) - and some damp-proofing?
