My view ... for what it's worth ... City will win it again ... cracking squad to which they have added even more quality. Livepool now the most credible challengers, given their own strengthening and, if City were to slip up, then 'Pool would be the ones to take advantage ... Spurs and Chelsea will battle for 3rd ...
Didn't mention Arsenal Quents .... but they must have really damaged you to be so much in your thoughts?
I agree with this, City will again be the team to beat and I think Liverpool seem to have spent in the right places this season. I personally wouldn't mind seeing 'pool win it this year, if only for the entertainment value on here
oh, no doubt about it. As much as i don't like to see the smug feel pep exudes, it's basically pretty much clockwork that the pool fans are getting overexcited for no good reason
I do fancy them for second though, especially if United are gonna lose a third of the season to Mourinho. The longer they're in it the funnier it will be when it goes wrong.
Every year, people write off Spurs against 'Pool. And yet, every year (bar one in the last 8), we have finish above 'Pool. 'Pool have bought new players, and they have yet to prove that they have gelled with that team, whereas Spurs' youngsters will have improved by being together for yet another season. Why is it assumed, therefore, that 'Pool will be any better than Spurs this season? There is no logic to it, only bias.
It's too early to tell if 'Pool have improved. On what do you base that statement? The fact that we haven't bought in any new players? So what! Alli, Kane, Son, Eriksen, Vertoghen, Sanchez, Davis, and Trippier have the benefit of another season working together. The likes of Sissoko, Moura and Lamela have shown, in pre-season, that they have improved on last season. Plus, we have a couple of youngsters breaking into the squad who will be eager to show what they can do. You write us off, not based on any logic, but purely on bias.
HAIG getting excited at the prospect of another top 4 finish #newgooners So is this Spurs side going to challenge City for the title now that they've 'gelled'?
Think that is yoor paranoia rather than any bias Quents ... Who are "people" ? Libby sums it up below ... Pool got to a Champions League final last season on the back of a promising domestic campaign and have strengthened those specific areas that were lacking ... Hence you would think they will improve and they were already the one club that had got the better of City in head to heads ... City have strengthened.... so have Pool Spurs have not strengthened and it emerges this morning that you made a late attempt to sign Tammy Abraham from Chelsea for £25 m .... so Abraham and Grealish? ... pretty underwhelming mate ... Liverpool add Allison, Keita, Fabinho and Shaqiri to a squad that reached the CL final ..... it's not bias to think they should improve significantly and likely beyond where Spurs will finish ... it's logic for anyone who knows owt about footie ... ... and I'm no Liverpool fan
