Guessing a 4-4-2. Hemed needs supply from out wide, Wells is a poacher and can feed off of his knock-downs, so we need someone who can get the crosses in but who is also willing to track back and help the defence (Pav?). Unless we get someone else in, unfortunately the defence kinda picks itself, Lumley Bidwell - Baptiste - Leinster - Rangel Eze - Scowen - Luongo - Wszolek Wells - Hemed I know it leaves Freeman out, but this also gives pace out wide with Eze.
Well that makes it s little more interesting... my decision to come to the Rovers game might be not as bad as I feared. (Btw, it is the only game while I’m in the UK that I can attend). Coming to town early for a few pre game beers; is the C&S still the place to go before? Just realised I haven’t been over for nearly 2 years. Hope to catch up with a few Not606ers on the night. I’m also going to assume I can buy tickets on the night. True? I’ll have my sons with me, they owe me.
Looking forward to going on Sat with a little less trepidation.....need to break my jinx. Since coming back to U.K. have been to Preston (H) last season and all but Preston (A) this season....4 defeats in a row which I think is a little rude of the Hoops in terms of welcoming me home... CB would be great. Has to drop Ingram.....could also do with a left back. Bidwell having a nightmare this season
Lumley Rangel Baptiste BFG Bidwell Eze Luongo Freeman Samuel Wells Hemed 442 with Luongo behind Freeman. Watch out Wigan!
I don't know if he'll pick them both from the start but I can't see him dropping Freeman. Wszolek was ineffective Tuesday so could see him getting the chop. My guess 4-3-3. Would be nice to have Hall back. Lumley Bidwell - Baptiste - Leistner - Rangel Freeman - Luongo - Scowen Wells - Hemed - Eze
Yeah, Scowen was particularly pants on Tuesday, with so many mis-placed passes, including one which lead to Bristol's third goal.
Not according to this - https://qpr.vitalfootball.co.uk/qpr-midfielder-shines-as-season-goes-from-bad-to-worse/
I think as Scowen is the last player you drop He's the only player with any fight currently Luongo is still on holiday and Freeman goes in circles Let them fight for 1 place , try to give Eze pitch time and time to settle settle in and get the 2 news boys on the pitch Lumley A fit Furlong,a fit Hall, BFG2,Bidders with his old haircut back Scowen Eze Wells,Hemed Plus any 2 from the rest, probably a more keen Luongo plus one (I,d have Manning) Is looking ok
Well, we all have different opinions and I don't claim to be an expert. There's been plenty of bad performances so I wouldn't single Scowen out but I've seen 180 minutes live at HQ this season and feel that he has slipped from the level he achieved last season when I was a confirmed fan of his. Against West Brom, he made a ridiculous attempt at a tackle and gave away a penalty. Against Bristol City, I got fed up counting his misplaced passes, which reached their nadir when he played a cross-field pass to a Bristol City player, leading directly to their third goal. That pass alone would do it for me! Happy to disagree on this one but I do agree that Luongo, despite some good moments, has been equally unimpressive over 90 minutes. Anyway, Scowen has been a great signing for us and generally looked very good but I think our midfield may be complacent at the moment and need a shake up. For me, Scowen is the more limited of the three.
That’s very good business, if you said to any championship side, you would be getting these two forwards, you would be happy
Can't disagree with that. To be honest I barely noticed Scowen Tuesday. Luongo was totally anonymous, really expecting more from him now.
I would say that BFG2 had more of the ball than most of our players on Tuesday. I think Conor has really had way long enough to prove himself. Ingram is just not (yet?) up to Championship level. The manager has largely the same team as Olly had. BFG2 seems no worse than Ned. Robinson featured fairly rarely before so no enormous regular loss. The only sighnificant difference is Ingram who needs some time elsewhere I think to build his shot confidence. I don’t fancy him doing that confidence building between our posts, sorry. Ingram alone, is not the reason we have a -11 GD. Players’ attitude must be down to the management. Most teams seem to get a new manager bounce, we get a flounder.
So everyone seems happy with the two loan signings. Who gets the credit for that - the Manager, the Chairman, the Bean-counter, or the DoF?
