Morning all. Weather as normal so plenty of watering to do. Our friends were surprised to meet someone who used to live in the same town in Dorset as they do. Lots of do you know so and so, has the traffic situation improved, how far away is the nearest bank now that Natwest has closed? Questions with answers showing that little has changed in some ways in the twenty years since our friend out here had moved. What was a village is now a town, the bypass that was required twenty years ago is no nearer being built, many of the services such as the library are now provided by volunteers. The big plus is that what was a small local grocer has expanded into a large supermarket saving travelling to other towns.
I'll be cheering them on Dave. Bit worried just at the moment but half time talk might sort it. Sleep well.
Conjures up romantic liaisons with very attractive female spies, cobbled streets and dark smoke filled bars - or is my mind running away with me
Morning, Dave, yorkie, kc; morning, all. Clearly been reading too much news. Dreamt I was in court, conducting my own defence with reluctant assistance from an old college friend. The charge was some sort of public order offence against Donald Trump. The judge hearing the case? Donald Trump. Obviously he was going to be impartial... I somehow successfully convinced his colleague on the bench to agree that Trump was unfit to be the judge, as he kept turning off the recording of the trial (no stenographer, it was just a red light - not the Trump sort, this was an LED - that showed the proceedings were being recorded). In real life, I still have anxiety dreams about my fight with the corrupt local Anglican diocese. It’s often fighting a mountainous uphill battle to get people to accept the evidence before them rather than the supposed reputation of the institution. Anyway, corrupt American president duly dealt with; we can go to the beach now. Have a good day, everyone.
Afternoon all. After we played hosts to our friends last night with a traditional French meal, it was too late to clear it all away, so there was a lot of washing up to be done when we came down. We didn't have time to do it then as we had offered to help take down the canopy on the side of their caravan before they moved south. He is still suffering from his cracked ribs, so bending and stretching is quite painful. My computer has thrown a touch of the wobblys and is not doing what it should. I have managed to sort some of the problems, but need to give it more thought to get it back to where it should be. We had a thunderstorm late yesterday with a whole ten minutes of heavy rain. I rather doubt that it will have refilled any water butt.
Robinson Crusoe's servant tripped over, Crusoe said "that's the first time Friday has fallen on a Saturday! "
Good night from Transylvania... We are up in the mountains and the woods are all around.. Not sure about romantic notions! Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk
No holidays round a nice camp fire Or sampling fresh seafood with samphire Yorkie'd rather explore A less usual tour Which takes in a search for a vampire
Morning all, looks like we had a shower overnight, but not enough to do any good. Friends have moved south, so life can be a little less frantic. Computer still not well, .a trip to the doctor is required I think.
