As a background show when doing things like folding laundry (when only paying a little attention to tv) I've been rewatching Seinfeld. With a few exceptions, it's not nearly as good as I remembered, either that or the show hasn't aged well. One thing that is interesting though is all the minor characters who were unknowns at the time and only had a few appearances who went on to have bigger roles later on elsewhere. There are a lot of familiar faces playing bit parts.
got round to it. You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? Then who the hell else are you talking... you talking to me? Well I'm the only one here. Who the **** do you think you're talking to? Oh yeah? OK So, this is apparently a masterpiece. I can see the likes of @Red Hadron Collider and @luvgonzo loving this. The soundtrack was beautiful, the acting was supreme, it touches on some good subjects and some those quotes are brilliant but for me i can't relate to the character that well and his random acts and mood swings. I enjoyed the film but unfortunately Taxi Driver only gets an 8/10 for me.
good eight but no where near a masterpiece (for me, although I can understand why people have it as one)
i was expecting it til be a 10/10 or even a 9. hence it was only an 8. I can't look past the cinematography, the lines, the acting and the decent music to make it a lower score.
Just finished the season and can't disagree with anything you said. I think they should end it there. Really wanted Piper to batter Badison before leaving though!
