Baked Beans or Spaghetti Hoops?

 

Either or.

 

Spaghetti hoops are the work of the Devil, appropriate fodder on the handcart to Hell. You can't beat a Heinz baked bean, none of that low salt or sugar nonsense either. Beans on toast, food of Kings and Commoners alike.

I now want beans on toast. Ever have it with Spam? I would suggest you fry the Spam off (no fat required as it has a coating of jelly that breaks down easily) before adding the beans, gives it a fuller and meatier flavour. If you need any other cooking tips feel free to ask but I must advise I don't have any recipes for Jerk Rice.

 

Low sugar baked beans are an absolute con. Even diabetics like me are urged not to buy them and buy the real ones instead.

Not being one step up from being homeless I don't eat Spam. Also, I'm vegetarian. My mum used to make Spam fritters when I was a kid though. Meat from tins is a no-no: Spam, corned beef, horse etc.

I tried the "no added sugar" baked beans once. Ruined my wonderful cooked breakfast, sorry Fingers! Never again. Utterly tasteless.

There is something to be said for certain substances to be added to certain products.

 

Is it the type you get because your genes are messed up and can't help it or is it the kind that is your own fault for being a fat bastard? Asking for a friend.
