Proven Championship strikers cost money we don't have and that frankly they're not worth. Spending £10m on someone who can get us 15 goals this season is a sure fire way to make sure we are no further forward two years from now.

We are not winning matches because we are not scoring goals, so will someone who is of the " it will be alright " mentality please explain to me how this will change? I'm not interested in hearing about systems etc just clarify for me how this group of players are going to start scoring and stop conceding goals.

 

If you're not interested in hearing about tactics then obviously you can't get an answer to that.

 

Well apart from the fact that the majority of the players he has brought in seem to be woefully inadequate at this level he must start by playing a 4-4-2 as Harrison simply is not a target man!

 

Jackson is a target man and Harrison looks like a tricky player to run at defences, hold the ball up and knock it down for Jackson to finish. So this, in a nutshell with bringing Morris into the equation is all we need to do.

The difficulty comes when one of them gets injured. We shouldn't be creating our own difficulties when nearly everyone's fit.

 

Basically we need to replace the 40 goals we were getting from our previous strike force!

Yes it is a roll of dice, the same as when you sign any player. The risks increase when you sign 9. Hurst has not had any option because McCarthy left the squad in such a mess.
