Actually the tuition fees were scrapped. What remained was an endowment to fund student bursaries that could be added to the student loan. Not a penny of this funded the unis.

SNP scrapped the endowment, not the tuition fees.

Many students were exempt from paying the endowment too.

I do wonder how long the SNP can keep up with these voter inducements? I doubt it's economically viable to carry on spending the way they are and offering freebies to everyone just to keep them popular.

Eventually, the SNP and Nicola are going to have to make some tough economic decisions - not something they like to be seen to be doing. It took the Greens threatening to vote against them just to get changes to council tax - a tax, let's remember, the SNP promised to scrap 15 year ago and is still in place.

The Corbynator in North Lanarkshire yesterday bemoaning the Tories. Telling any cùnt who will listen how hopeless the Tories are.

Bit of shame that North Lanarkshire council is run by a Tory/Labour coalition though.

The SNP are a bunch of spivs anaw bit when it comes to bringing in actual "socialist" policies they have done whilst the Labour party had ample opportunity to and didn't and still don't.

Labour councils moaned about the council tax freeze for years and how it was costing jobs. The SNP lifted it and not one Labour controlled council raised the rate of council tax. Under the previous Labour administration in Scotland there was little or no social housing being built. Thousands have been built under the SNP.

The list goes on. The Labour party are a busted flush in Scotland and it will take a very long time for the electorate to forget what a bunch of cùnts they were.

As for the free spending SNP, weren't the being pilloried a few months back for having tens of millions unspent from their budget?

There's no such thing as a budget under-spend. That's just the phrase used by opposition parties. The money's set aside for disasters such as severe winters or flooding (which might be needed today).

The underspend was more than twice the £191 million recorded in the previous 2016/17 financial year. The most recent underspend also exceeded the £392 million recorded in 2015/16 and the £200 million of 2014/15.

Och that was just the first thing I came across when I googled SNP under spend. I'm sure the story ran in other outlets that you would be happier reading.

That would be 'The Scotsman' that backed a 'NO' vote in the 2014 Independence Referendum and has an editorial stance against the Scottish National Party.

    So let's get this straight...

The SNP are bribing the Scottish folk by giving us free stuff like prescriptions and education and bridges and stuff. They are doing that by spending lots and lots of money that they can't afford to do for much longer.

But year on year they have under spent by hundreds of millions which has allowed them to keep dough in reserve in case of emergency.

They cùnts are useless so they are.

SNP freeze council tax for years, Labour councils need to cut services, SNP win councils on the back this, SNP raise council tax...

    Sounds a bit Tory [emoji23]
