    Gerrard! No worries

Rumours of not offering Raul more wages (under the old regime all be it), being the reason he has gone, surely our future policy for more 'important' players wont be the same?

I mean if a player is older and we want to keep him we won't be tight on wages will we?

I doubt it. John W. Henry recently said that the wage bill is not a problem anymore

Spearing to take his place on the bench until Gerrard come back from injury. Personally I think the way Spearing played in later part of last season, he could feel very unfairly treated at not being on the bench this season.

Yes. My opinion of Jay Spearing improved dramatically back end of last season. He's obviously valued, or he would have been off.

This is Anfield http://www.thisisanfield.com reports that £30 million has been shaved off the wage bill in this transfer window. That is something that JWH wanted, he will be delighted to discover that it has been done so quickly. I doubt it if he was expecting it to be done so quickly.
