sorry autocorrect. I listened to talksport on drive to drop my mate home after game. they were playing silly buggers on the pen trying to bait lads. one of the clowns clearly.changed.mind and kept getting more and more provocative. it was so transparent.
On hodgesons interview, strange that he is having a moan. When he was in charge of us he would have said we got what we deserved and should be thankful to be on the same pitch as crystal palace.
Just watching the highlights and the ball over the top from keita for Salah was a sight to see, if he popped it away we would be seeing that all year.
He actually said 'I don't want my team to win penalties like that'. I'll give it two games at most before he jumps out of the dugout to prove that statement the palpable nonsense that it is. Oh, and VVD for captain too - that's all I have to say tonight apart from a very decent three points, and that Mane is back to the player we bought.
Thanks you for your your last reply tonight, vvd is future captain material, you can't take it of Henderson straight away, although I thought h was very good when he came on, he does what he does, win the ball, keep the ball.
Keita will have to learn how to play against a mass defence, being a bit quick isn't enough. He looks special though
Best thing about Hodgson interview was how he was claiming they should have had a pen at the end when VVD wiped out Meyer in the box from a cross. Cut to replay, Meyer tries to flick the ball towards goal, barely touches it and VVD slides in to block the shot and doesn’t touch anyone

Phew!! Big win at a tough place! Palace will surely take points from off our rivals this season. I think it was a relatively controlled game and got into some great positions throughout. Our play in the final third was really poor - not just from the attackers but everyone else. Robbo and TAA were quite wasteful I felt. Our attack is not going to be able to perform at a high level all the time - with that said, Mane was electric and Salah was rusty but still got two assists. Our midfield still lacks real control and composure but we still have Fabinho to come in. Keita is the driving force for us. He’s class. But for all of the factors above, our defence gave us the platform. I’m still sceptical over Gomez - I feel there are fundamental weaknesses and the injuries have hampered his progress. But he was excellent last night. Along with VVD - who is one of the best defenders in Europe, and certainly the best in the league. No debate. Alisson provides more confidence in the back - dealt with everything and with ease. His distribution is top class. I know shot stopping is crucial for keepers but a keeper who can pass and start attacks quickly is so important for our style of play. All in all, great result! Two wins, two clean sheets.
Oh and I can’t believe people are debating the penalty. It’s clear. Guaranteed, had it been Zaha who gone down instead, Alan Smith would have said it’s clear. Twat
I like the fact that Salah is rusty and yet he won a pen, got their brilliant RB sent off and put Mane through on goal for the second. I'll take more if that rustiness. The palace pitch is small and compact which makes it very difficult to play for the front 3. Even City at the peak of their powers could only score once there. Allisons kicking tho ....
