But If they're good enough or clubs think they are they will be enquiring about them. It's that simple. Edit if that's the article in the chronicle for boro, it quotes Martin braithwaite as one of the loanees. A record signing. Their academies must be twice the size of ours too as we couldn't field a team with that many out on loan. Are they both Cat 1? Our academy is only just taking off, maybe with the success of Bowen and Tymon clubs may start wanting our young players.
More My time has come to an end @HullCity but I would just like to thank all the staff for helping me from the day I arrived and throughout! I managed to play and train with some great players and have also made some amazing friends. All the best in the coming seasons please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I must say Greg Olley I thought had a chance of making it, but I guess at 22 a decision had to be made if he would step up to the senior match day squad, and obviously the answer was no. Though, like others, he should have been sent out on loan more often, in order to gain match day experience. Certainly good enough for a league 2 or possibly league 1 side.
CLASS OF 2018 SCHOLARS SIGN UP please log in to view this image The Tigers' new full-time Academy scholars were officially welcomed to the Club earlier this month at an induction evening held at the KCOM Stadium. Some new faces joined others who have already been at the Club - and progressed through the Academy ranks - for a number of years to put pen-to-paper on their two-year scholarship contracts. Quinn Thompson, Harvey Cartwright, Harry Wood, Tommy Best, Jake Bayram, David Robson, Andy Smith and Robert Guilfoyle will all join the Academy on a full-time basis when the players return to our Bishop Burton College base for pre-season training this summer. The players - along with their parents and relatives - were able to officially meet all the Academy coaching and administration staff and hear about the programme they will be following over the two years of their scholarship, with the aim for all - to win that first professional contract. Reflecting on the evening, Academy Manager Jon Beale said: "It's always important to make sure everyone is welcomed properly to the Academy and celebrate what the players have achieved in securing what is probably one of the most difficult contracts to earn in the professional pathway. "The Induction Evening is always a special occasion. It's both enjoyable and informative, providing a great opportunity for the players and their parents to come in and get an overview of what life will be like when they start their scholarship at the back end of June. "The message to each and every one of them now is that the hard work really starts. Importantly we'll give them all the support that they need across all the different areas of the Academy programme, and it is up to the boys to work as hard as they can to make the most of their opportunity."
It's easy to say go on loanjohn. The other club has to want them. The player should push themself more too. Olley is a nice footballer but lacks that drive that Bowen has. He wouldntcut it in centre midfield at pro level I don't think. Not physically strong enough. Shame as I do like him. But it's up to him to go out and prove them wrong.
Surely this lad has more chance of been our number 2 than Burton? He has all the attributes to be a cracking keeper!
Take your point, not sure whether these youngster have agents, if so, you would think they would be pushing for them to get a loan club.
Is this the lot that were involved in the punch up at Ascot or Goodwood or whatever? That ginger haired chap certainly looks like one of them. ****ing lager louts.
Couple of classic football names in there, Tommy Best, Harry Wood. Nice also to see the ginger quota being addressed.
Most non league pitches are poor second half of the season. At least Ferriby had a league club looking it, so shouldn't the buck stop with them? If they go to Brid is it likely theirs will be better, I doubt it? As OLM said this is just Ehab's power obsession, he loves showing people he has the power to do things just for the sake of it. Twat.
I didn’t see a new version of this thread. The U23s are currently 7-0 down to Ipswich Town U23s with 20 minutes to go. **** a brick, it’s chronic isn’t it?
